9/09/34 Grandmother [
413], at a Group #1 meeting of A.R.E.,
was telling of experimenting with colors for the child,
purple and violet for physical disorders as suggested in the
life reading.
The child had been fretful and cross and was displeased with
her playmate and everything she did. The grandmother noticed
this and thought of what the reading said. The only thing
she could find in the house of purple was an old evening
dress, with beads on it. This she brought out and hung it on
the chandelier in the room in which the children played, with
the excuse to let it hang there and air out.
The playmate immediately stopped and exclaimed over it, how
pretty it was, etc., reaching out and touching it. [

objected at first but when the playmate admired it so, she
stopped and reached out and touched it also, looking at it
for a long time. Her crossness seemed to disappear and
she [the grandmother] had no more trouble with [

of the day.
6/07/35 Little [

as a little dancing "powder puff." Her teacher said she was
gifted.
