This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 18th day of March, 1926, in accordance with request made by her son, Mr. [257].

Present: Edgar Cayce; Mrs. Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno.

TEXT

1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for the relief and improvement of same, and you will answer the questions I will ask you regarding this body.
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here. This we have had before.
3. Now, we find there are those exaggerated conditions that have been accentuated by the congestion and nausea as has arisen through the system, through that of MENTAL WORRY and the congestion.
4. The [osteopathic] treatments as have been accorded the body are good, and should be accorded more often, in keeping with the physical conditions.
5. The [Radio-Active] vibration as was given for the body should be given, for these [applications] will produce the equilibrium necessary to bring rest and easiness, and sleep, for the body. These DO NOT produce any improper vibration or over activity to any portion of the system.
6. Under the present strain, would be WELL that those properties be given the system that would cleanse alimentary canal, WITHOUT producing too much strain on the system, in weakening the body more. Hence, a saline that is of the nature of the lactic, without the acid, as much as possible. We would, then, use the plain phosphate of soda - teaspoonful - two teaspoonful each morning, and add to this (when dissolved in a glass of warm water) at least five to ten drops syrup of sarsaparilla; with the third day, or dose, adding one drop oil of turp, or white pine oil, see? and this may be given also - the charcoal tablet occasional, see, to bring a better condition in intestinal system, absorbing toxins and cleansing the blood.
7. For the cough or congestion we would use oil of white pine twenty minims, in four ounces Spirits Frumenti, shaken well to-gether, see, and the dose would be half a teaspoonful about three times each day - oftener if the cough produces nausea, see.
8. Take more of the osteopathic treatments. Add the [Radio-Active Appliance] vibration to those, as has been given. We will bring the better conditions for this body. Ready for questions.
9. (Q) What should the diet be?
   (A) Any liquid diet, and little of meats.
10. (Q) What causes the palpitations?
    (A) That nerve pressure as is produced by mental worry, as is brought on through that of the neuritic forces in the system - nerve condition.
11. (Q) What produces the headaches, and what will relieve same?
    (A) Condition of the stomach. Phosphate of Soda and other properties, to remove the pressure produced here on the pneumogastric and hypogastric, will relieve the headache.

2. 3/15/26 Son [257]'s letter: "Mother has not been so well. She has been in bed for 2-3 days and I would like to know why the battery [Radio-Active Appliance] that she used caused the palpitation to start up again around her heart. It may be that this was necessary, but it always makes her uneasy when it happens. She is taking osteopathic treatments as advised by you. It may be the reaction, but first I would like to hear on the two that I have written you about today." [903-2 & 157-1?]
3. 3/17/26 Son's wire: "Mother ill several days. No appetite, headaches, etc. Please read at home, giving diet and treatment. Why has battery caused additional palpitations? Have osteopathic treatments been given correctly? What will stop cough? Mail special delivery and wire cough prescription."

REPORTS

1. 3/24/26 Son [257]'s letter: "Mother says it was the best reading she has ever received and the most definite one. The remedies were just what she needed and after six days in bed, the first dose of the Phosphate brought her to her feet. The osteopathy is doing her a lot of good."
2. 4/01/26 Her letter: "I am feeling a great deal stronger again. I feel that you would like to hear the outcome of your reading, which I appreciated very much. As you see it, my illness is always just worry, and I get out of patience with [257] when he worries you with my troubles. Of course the reading always helps. The Phosphate of Soda was the very thing that I needed, as I was weak. I needed a light laxative. I know that I am just overdone. I can't catch up my strength, as it is always guiding the children. They forget that I am getting older. The treatments did my arm a world of good and I will go back to the doctor [Eugene R. Kraus, D.O.?] and continue same. The bitterness in mouth is some better and feel it soon will be o.k. Thanks so very much for your kind interest in me. Daughter [460] has 4 friends that are writing to you. One is a doctor. They are classmates of hers... Son [257] is looking and feeling fine [after following the rdg.], thank God. I must pull the lines very tight at times, but I pull them at my own cost. But he is a good son, God bless him."
3. 5/17/26 "I am feeling a great deal better. My shoulder is entirely well, but I still suffer from the bitterness in mouth. I know that I need some more osteopathic treatments.
   It seems there are so many places to use money, one goes to the doctor last."
