This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Va. Beach, Va., this 6th day of September, 1932, in accordance with request made by her son, Mr. [257], Active Member of the Ass'n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

TEXT

1. EC: Yes, we have the body, Mrs. [325] - this we have had before.
2. Now, as we find, the general physical conditions are progressing rather satisfactorily. While there are those inroads made as concerning the conditions in the body, these are being held rather in abeyance. With the careful acting, and the activating forces of the body kept in accord with those conditions that have been outlined for the body, we find the general conditions progress very satisfactorily.
3. In the matter of the diets, the body finds - and will find more and more - these have much to do with the general reaction in the system, and that a general alkalin in the system is the more satisfactory reaction; less and less of greases of any nature are the better conditions and are more easily assimilated, and the reactions of those properties in the system for the creating of better coagulation through the body are the better.
4. As to the exercises that the body should take, these - as we find - are at times curtailed too much. As much in the open as practical for the body, for the oxygens of the air in the open are more invigorating than those even created in well ventilated apartments or rooms. Well, too, that in the sleeping apartment there be more ozone in the atmosphere, as to purify - through the burning of electrical forces prepared for such, that the ventilations are kept in more accord.
5. These, we find, are the conditions with Mrs. [325]. Ready for questions.
6. (Q) Is the ash being properly taken?
   (A) The better manner for assimilation should not be in the capsule. Rather the capsule as container, but when taken empty the powder from the capsule onto the tongue. This will aid in preventing too great an accumulation of the forces in their activating in system.
7. (Q) Is present lamp treatment sufficient with ash?
   (A) The lamp treatment should follow each dosage of the ash, in twenty to thirty minutes, for a short period, at least. This (the lamp) should be given, to be sure, on the upper dorsal area, where digestion or assimilation for the activating forces through the respiratory system react.
8. (Q) Any other medicine needed to prevent weak attacks she has to system?
   (A) This has been outlined, that there be given champagnes or wines that do not carry a high percentage of the alcohol, but rather the high percent of the food values in the distillations of same. Champagnes, wines, cordials, or the like, are the better for such stimulations.
9. (Q) Where should she go for a month, if it is advisable?
   (A) This should be rather a matter for the body itself to decide. As conditions mental (as has oft been given) bring worriment for conditions of the body in those surroundings that would be well for the body to decide for itself as to those surroundings that would be congenial and in keeping with the desires of the body.
10. (Q) Is there any other advice to enable her to fortify her physical and mental strength against inroad of poor health?
    (A) That which is being builded by the mental forces of the body, in the application of the truths that are attained in its associations of the spiritual relations and their activating forces in a material world, should fortify the body against - and for the meeting of - all the conditions that surround same; for the spiritual forces about the body (as have always been) are those that build for the eminence of that phase of the entity's experience in the present.

REPORTS

1. 9/19/32 "I am better as far as my health and spirits go. It takes a great deal to keep up my vitality, as I am not very strong. I am very careful of the food that I eat and that helps me to digest better and feel better." [Evidently Son [257] did not show her the rdg. 325-42.]
2. 9/27/32 "Did I tell you my reading [325-42] was good? My health is good, thank God, but my side feels sore sometimes. I am very careful of my diet, as I do not want to have indigestion and gases."
3. 10/03/32 EC's ltr. to Dr. A. J. Foerter (M.D.): "We must all practice smiling more and more, and 'watch as well as pray.' I am glad to hear from your patients. Doctor, I will be quite anxious for you to note whatever changes may come with the administering of the carbon ash. [See 4623-1 rdg. for Dr. Foerter's patient recommending it.] Whenever it has been used thus far as suggested, I must say that we have had most remarkable changes for the better, especially in relieving any type of internal inflammation. There is one physician in N.Y. [Albert Mayer, M.D.?] (though he doesn't know the ingredients, nor just how it is put together) who has been using it more than a year with indications of cancer, inflammation of the mucous membranes throughout the system, and declares he has had most wonderful success. I know of a few cases where cancer has been stopped by the use of this ash, or it has been called cancer at least."
4. 10/27/32 Mrs. [325] reported on young woman not following her rdgs. (See 911-6), saying: "I have treated myself just to the readings and still do. Of course I have good results. Thank God, but as you know there is still much to do. One must have a strong will power to carry on, but that is the only way we can expect to get results."
