1/24/35 Daughter [
460]'s letter: "Mother said she wrote
for a reading. I hope it hasn't already been given for
there are a few things that are worrying me about her
condition. Today she became nauseous quite suddenly.
I called the doctor but he didn't say very much about
her condition. He gave her some capsules to make her
sleep. They seemed to upset her but we will give them
a fair trial. What I want to know is: What caused the
nausea? Are the capsules the right things to take to
produce sleep? What type of physic would produce the
proper bowel movement without causing gas to form? Is the
breast condition responsible for the failure of the body to
recuperate as it should? If so, what can be done to
alleviate the effects of this condition? What effects would
x-ray treatments on the breast have? Would such treatments
on the breast be advisable? Where can such treatments be
taken for the least expense? What causes the fluttering in
the heart that causes a smothering sensation?
"Judge, I don't like to bother you with so many questions
but these questions, as you can see, describe her feelings
as well as I can make out, and I feel that it is very
important to locate the seat of these conditions as quickly
as possible. I know that the breast condition is worrying
Mother terribly. If there is anything that comes out in the
reading that will cause her more worry, will you ask Gladys
not to include them in Mother's copy but to send the answers
to such questions to [
257]. I am referring to the questions
on the breast conditions, you will understand I know."
2/24/35 Son [

last few days. I believe it is a nervous stomach, but that
nausea is terrible."
