(Q) Since food seems to disagree and body is so weak, how
can strength be built up?
(A) It is necessary for foods, for nourishment; and these
must be taken in some way or manner.
The applications of all natures are for the natural reactions
to FORCE an issue under the conditions, or to bring greater
distressing effects.
So the body must respond, else naturally the gradual
disintegrations in the functioning of this or that portion of
the system will take place. There is NO greater manner of
supplying stimulations for normalcy than the NATURAL methods
of the osteopathic adjustments, which through the touch may
indicate (to the manipulator) those centers where
nourishments to various portions are lacking or being
over-stimulated. And the activity or effect upon the ganglia
and the muscular forces is to make for the equalizing, with
all centers coordinating. This is a normal condition.
Medicinal properties are only indicated where conditions are
set up that are not reached sufficiently quick by the
manipulations.
(Q) Should body eat eggs?
(A) If it desires.
(Q) Both parts?
(A) The yolk.
(Q) She does not seem to like vegetables. Will the juices
do as well for her?
(A) Do as well if prepared properly; that is, with all the
strength of same left within same.
(Q) Please comment on Dr. Dobbins' treatment given on Wed.
the 21st. Is it in conformity with the guidance we are
getting? As he wants to cooperate very much.
(A) As we have indicated, the Dobbins' method is well.
(Q) Is there any way to eliminate bitter taste in the mouth?
(A) This is a natural reaction in the system; it has existed
for years - and is the effect of the SYSTEM'S combating -
through ALL the functioning of the system - those disorders
there.
(Q) Has the liver anything to do with it?
(A) Partially.
(Q) Will it be best for body to return home on Sunday to
begin lamp treatments?
(A) Would be best, to have ALL treatments.
(Q) Is there a better location for her in N.Y., considering
her nerves, body, condition and happiness?
(A) At home is the better.
(Q) Any better location then 180 Riverside Drive, N.Y.?
(A) At the present home is the better.
(Q) Please give body a mental suggestion which will help her
to maintain her desire to get well, and have confidence again
in herself.
(A) Keep that mental attitude of helpfulness, usefulness to
those that the body may influence in its activity. And leave
the results of ALL conditions in the hands of Him that giveth
life, light and immortality. Let THOSE be as thy axioms:
"Let the words of my mouth, the meditations of my heart, be
acceptable in Thy sight, my Lord, and my Redeemer."
We are through for the present.

REPORTS
8/30/35 EC's ltr. to Mr. [
257]: "Am a bit uneasy about
Mother [
325], but believe that she will come to like Dobbins
and that he can do her a lot of good. Be sure and keep me
posted as to how she is. Had a letter from her yesterday
morn. Of course after we had gotten the rdg. [325-61], as we
got that about 8 a.m. Guess she will be going back to N.Y.
soon. If she can content herself there it would be fine.
While the rush and bother is a help and a hindrance, she just
has to be in the midst of things, don't you think?"
9/01/35 Son [
257]'s ltr.: "Was glad to get Mother's rdg."
9/03/35 Mother [
325]'s ltr.: "My health is some better and
I'll go home and get the lights, God willing. I like Dr.
Dobbins very much, as he will do his best. The rdg. says not
to use Iodex but Plantain. Where should it be applied to the
sores? The rdg. is just right. I often wonder at the
changes and things. Of course I can't explain these
happenings, as they are of the mind. I almost did not pull
through but I expect I am needed some, so I'll do my best
until the end of time. When one is ill and old one is like
the bear family - time to be in mercy put under."
9/03/35 Son [
257]'s ltr.: "For a good many years you have
discussed a Life Reading for Mother. While I was out in
Jersey yesterday we discussed it and she would like very much
to have it at your convenience. Her birthday is May 23,
1872, at Cincinnati, Ohio.
"I am sure she will appreciate this and will give her
something to think about while she is recuperating."
9/04/35 EC's ltr.: "You failed to give Mother [
325]'s maiden
name, or the name given at birth. It is necessary for us to
have this also, in order to obtain the Life Rdg. Please let
us have this, and we will get it at the first opportunity.
If she desires to have the Life Rdg. at this time, I'm sure
it will be of help to her."
9/07/35 "Mother's maiden name is - was - [...]. I just spoke
to her. She will return home Monday. She has gained four
pounds and Dobbins is treating her. She was so pleased when
she heard you were giving her a Life Rdg. I am putting a few
questions in - if it is not too long. I'll write later. Why
her interest in special lines of endeavor? What is her
life's work yet to be accomplished? What is her destiny?
Will she be able to contact her loved ones when her period on
this plane is fulfilled? How is it most easily accomplished?
What has been the entity's accomplishment according to God's
standard during this appearance How can she live the full
three score and ten, to fulfil God's plan as set for her?"
