This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at home of [257], 44 West 77th St., Apt. 14-W, New York City, this 10th day of October, 1935, in accordance with request made by self - Mrs. [325], Active Member of the Ass'n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

Present: Edgar Cayce; Hugh Lynn Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno. Mrs. [459], Guilda & Sydney Krause, and Mrs. Cohen.

TEXT

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here; this we have had before.
2. While conditions continue to be rather serious, as we find the GENERAL adherence to those natural reactions as do and will recur - from the activities of those applications that have been made - will be and is the better course to pursue for the body in the present.
3. Continue, then, with the use of the manipulative forces for stimulation and to set up eliminations, and to set up drainages throughout the system.
4. Do not take too GREAT quantities of the Ash, but continue in the regular form; using same about the abrasions with the Iodex - as indicated - for drawing and maintaining a control over the general conditions in the system.
5. Occasionally use along or over the glands and the ligaments that lead to this portion of the body, under the right arm and side, the combination of the Plantain and Cream - as indicated. These are well.
6. Use those things that are body-building in the diet. The wines as indicated. Sips of the food values are the more strengthening. The red wine should be rather as the meal once a day, with the black bread only; preferably in the afternoon when greater strength is needed and the reaction will be the better. However, the light wine or champagne, that aids as a stimulation, would be sipped the more often in the other portions of the day or evening.
7. DO NOT make for aggravating conditions in the MENTAL attitude of those about the body, in making for any antagonistic or disturbing forces. Not as those things that would be kept FROM the body, but answer the questions - ever. These are the general conditions and those things best for the body.
8. Do not use the X-Ray again in the immediate. Separations have occurred; clarifications over the lung from so much of the fluids - as of other things, have disappeared.
9. Conditions are very good in the present.
10. Necessary at times for stimulation for the heart's activity. These will be found to be helpful, if the lower limbs and the feet are massaged with hot applications.
11. When necessary for the retaining of food for strength, the salt pack or oil rubs are the more preferable.
12. Do this for the present.
13. Ready for questions.
14. (Q) Is the codeine given by Dr. Harris alright for the heart? How often?
    (A) Not any more often than absolutely necessary. Codeine as the stimulant and as a preventative for pain for the body is the best in the present conditions.
Just as seldom as possible should it be given, though.
15. (Q) What caused the heart to beat so rapidly Tuesday?
    (A) The reactions from the change in the circulation by separation of tissue in portions of the body.
16. (Q) May anything be done for the bitterness and dryness in mouth, since olive oil makes her sick?
    (A) The Yellow Saffron Tea will be helpful in this respect.
17. (Q) Where can the Saffron Tea be obtained?
    (A) By using Saffron to make the tea! It may be obtained either locally or the foreign. The local (the American Saffron) is just as effective, and may be obtained from Eimer & Amend, or from the crude drug place in Asheville (S. B. Penick & Co.), or the like. Michigan City, or Columbus, Ohio. Any of those in crude drugs, or in Washington.
18. Do these. We are through with this reading.

Copy to Self [GD's note to [325]: "Please let Dr. Dobbins read this; I forgot to make an extra copy for him."]
    Copy to Ass'n file
(Eimer & Amend, 18th St. & Third Ave., N.Y.C. - Ask for a package of American Saffron - make as regular tea; keep cool and take sips of it when desired.)
