5/07/33 P.M. He submitted questions: "...You don't know how
much I appreciate your offer to furnish my Life reading. I
feel that it will be of great benefit to me in many ways...
Please choose from the following questions: 1) In what way
can I best serve the A.R.E. and Edgar Cayce? 2) Am I making
the best use of those talents that have been entrusted to my
care? If not, please suggest proper procedure that will make
this possible. 3) Should I continue in my line of endeavor
in a business way? If not, please give guidance for proper
channel. 4) Is the change in employment recently made a wise
choice and likely to be productive of good results in the
near future? 5) Please suggest lines of study and books to
be read that will make me of greater use to my brothers in
the work of the A.R.E. 6) Is there any indication that I
should some day give up business activity entirely and devote
the remainder of this experience to the work of the A.R.E.
and kindred endeavors, and if so, in what capacity?
7) Please state whether I was in any way associated with the
Master or His followers and in what way. 8) Was I at any
time previously related to my present wife [
602]? If so,
where and how and during what period? As a boy from four to
fourteen years of age, I had peculiar visions of brownies,
elves, etc., in a very pronounced manner. Was there any
significance in this? If so, what was its nature? As a boy,
I was peculiarly sensitive to the spiritual side of life and
was affected to an unusual extent by attendance at church and
sacred music. Was there any significance? If so what was
its nature? As a boy, there was a feeling of peculiar sweet
sadness in my experience coupled with a desire for the deeper
things of life and a desire to be good. Does this carry any
significance? If so, what is its nature?...
"I am certainly meeting some fine people [through A.R.E. in
N.Y. area] and I hope to gradually draw Mrs. [
602] from her
shell and help her to overcome the feeling of dividence in
meeting strangers. She finds it so hard under present
circumstances, but she is a great help to me and whatever we
do, we do together..."
