This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th St., Virginia Beach, Va., this 16th day of September, 1929, in accordance with request made by self - Mrs. [337].

TEXT

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, Mrs. [337]. This we have had before. Now, we find there are changes taking place with the physical forces of this body, and most of these are for the betterment. There has been produced sufficient of the incentives for the activities through those principles as have been applied for the creating of more of the mucus producing plasm in the upper intestine. There, however, has NOT been the activity of the liver in its nominal or normal manner. WE would, first OSTEOPATHICALLY, empty the gall bladder - but let the body rest while these treatments are being given, or for at least a day following such a treatment - and we will find this will assist and aid the system in ridding from the body those poisons that are STILL carried in the lymphatic circulation, that SHOULD be eliminated through the alimentary canal.
2. Well, too, were the colon cleansed - that there may be no reinfection through the mesenteric system, that gathers in and through the nerve ends, as apply THROUGH these portions of the body.
3. Keep the stimulation osteopathically. Keep also those in the electrical vibratory forces. The diet may be changed somewhat, but there should be the continuation of those values that will create more of the lactics and less acids in the system, until we can cleanse the alimentary canal and prevent the nerve ends from assuming those effects of impulses, through the affect as created by poisons seepage in the system, as is manifested in the eliminations - as is seen over portions of the body.
4. The changes in the diet should be, that principally those forces taken are adhered to rather closely, in the alkalin-producing. Small quantities now of a stimuli of coffee may be taken, but not MORE than once each day. This will be aided by the emptying of the gall ducts. Do that. Ready for questions.
5. (Q) What do the yellow spots come from, on my face?
   (A) Liver.
6. (Q) What causes constipation.
   (A) The liver.
7. (Q) What causes pain in my feet and knees?
   (A) The circulation disturbed through that pressure as is created on other portions of the system. Hence the emptying of the colon.
8. (Q) What causes weakness in my back?
   (A) Through the mesenteric system, or the pressure as is created there.
9. (Q) Am I under proper treatment at the present time?
   (A) Very good. These changes as we are giving here, that will be different - of course this can be done through the same channels. Best that this be emptied IN that manner.
10. (Q) What causes abrasions on different parts of the body, also on scalp?
    (A) The eliminations or poisons being driven through improper impulses and channels, as has been given. It is much BETTER that this be, than that this occur within the intestine or the stomach, or form spots on the liver. Were these to be driven in, without the proper eliminations being set up in system, it would be very hard, for we would either have those of perforations through the system, or through the bowels, or hardening in the stomach, or the sorosis [cirrhosis] - or plethora and then sorosis [cirrhosis], in lobes of the liver. So we are setting up, then, in the system, the proper coordination between the eliminating channels of the body. Let's not overtax one at the expense of another. The system - or nature in itself - attempts to create the bettered conditions, so long as the life plasm in a cellular unit is created through the proper assimilations. Hence the diets and the activities in the system, carry on. When the eliminations through the alimentary canal are choked, either the liver or the kidneys, or both, suffer. So also does the lymphatic circulation, or the pulmonaries - so one may be given tuberculosis from poor elimination, just as there has been reported for this body. THESE are being cleared wonderfully.
    Those conditions as exist in the exterior portions, or in the skin - eruptive forces, scaly places, or swellings as have occurred - are the lymphatic circulation attempting to take from the blood supply and to carry out through the pores of the skin those poisons as are NOT being eliminated through the activities of the excretory forces in the liver proper. Hence, by emptying the gall ducts, so that we have the proper secretions from the system, with the creative energies as have been set up in the body - while we will find nausea will come from this, while we find there will be sickness, weakness, dizziness - yet these must occur, that the body may be cleansed properly. Do that. We are through for the present with THIS reading.
