TEXT

  1. EC: Yes, [338] - as [married name]; we have had the body here before. [8/11/37 [338]'s letter requested 338-6 stating she was henceforth using her maiden name and dropping her married name.]
  2. Now as we find, it is very well that precautions be kept for the present, in the way of rest; but very SOON the body may change its activities, its environs.
  3. The disturbance as indicated that brought on the heart attack is the lack of completing those adjustments that were indicated for the body, and that would relieve the tension in the nerve system and allow better eliminations through the alimentary canal. [See 338-5, especially Par. 12-A.]
  4. This type of disturbance is NOT organic, but rather from the activities of the system as related to the functioning of the circulatory forces of the body.
  5. And if there will be the osteopathic adjustments in the upper dorsal and through the lumbar area (and we would have it done Dobbins' method), keeping the enemas for removal of the dilation in the portion of the transverse colon, we would find the body would much improve.
  6. Ready for questions.
  7. (Q) How long before it would be safe to leave the hospital?
    (A) Within eight days.
  8. (Q) Any further advice for the body at this time?
    (A) We would follow those outlines as for diet, and especially have adjustments of the cerebrospinal pressures. But these may be a part of the application as the effect of the pressures is removed. Keep in a constructive attitude, mentally, spiritually.
  9. We are through with this reading.

BACKGROUND

  1. 7/01/36 See 338-5 and subsequent Reports indicating [338] had a bad heart attack on 7/29/37 and was in the hospital.

REPORTS

  1. 10/29/39 [338]'s letter:
"It is about time that I let you know whether I am still on the earth or not. I certainly have had a tough time, but now with the help of Dr. Frank P. Dobbins [D.O.], I am beginning to look around and realize that I am still alive.
"The check reading that you sent me when I was in the hospital did the trick. I managed to get down to N.Y., much to the disgust of the hospital, and made a bee-line for Dr. Dobbins as soon as I landed. To me, he was the fountain in a desert. He really didn't seem to think he should take my case, as I was about as shot as any person can be, but on account of knowing from past experience that the readings can be relied on, even in an apparently hopeless case, he very kindly took me as a patient, and I have been going to him twice a week. He said today that it is really amazing, the progress I have made in the past month, and if I will do as well in the next two months, I will be well on the right road again.
"I should have written you before, but I wasn't settled in one place to give you my address. Along with all my trouble I had to move the first week in October. My mail has gone here, there and everywhere and everything in a muddle. I want to pay my membership dues... I will want another Check Physical soon, O guess - as Dr. Dobbins thinks there are some questions we can ask."
  2. 11/05/37 See 338-7, for which she was present, at the David E. Kahn home in Scarsdale, N.Y.
  3. 6/07/38 See Dr. Dobbins' report under 338-7, calling her condition myocarditis.
