In the one then before this we find in that land known now as
Persia, or Arabia, and during those periods when there were
the gathering of those peoples about that leader as had
established a post, a city BUILDED in the plains. The entity
then among those of the princess of the East who came as a
visitor to those peoples, remaining long, became then an
emissary to what is NOW those of the East India lands. Then
in the name Illeutiheuezlan. In this experience the entity
lost AND gained. GAINED in that with the FINDING of an
ideal, not ONLY did the entity give SELF in attempting to
make this ideal applicable in the entity's EXPERIENCE, but
desirous of - and did give - much of the teachings to her own
people, even though she a princess in high position, in
social, in financial, and much of those of the spices, of the
good golds of the land, of those things as pertained to that
of earth's golden storehouse, came under the entity's use,
entity's for distribution, and the entity used same well.
LOSING only in the latter period when there was apparently
those of FAILURE on the part of those trusted by the entity
to KEEP the faith, to KEEP that as was promised. Hence in
the present, while the entity listens to those who promise -
yet there is oft the doubt and the fear that those making
much promises will not keep same, and for self loath to make
promise - yet there is oft the doubt and the fear that those
making much promises will not keep same, and for self loath
to make promise unless very sure. This WELL, but may be made
an extremist - and often misunderstood. Well to be sure of
self, but well to learn that, "As ye would that men should
do to you, do YE EVEN so to them," and not to lose faith in
others because one has proven unworthy. Look most to thine
OWN skirts, to thine OWN activities, and being true to self
thou canst NOT be false to anyone! Keep the faith in that
as gained in that experience, and bring forth fruits WORTHY
of that as was gained in that experience. The love also of
grapes, as figures - fruits, as raised in those of cloth
patterns, are of particular interest to the entity from this
experience; ESPECIALLY grapes, pears, pomegranates, and those
that grow on vines.
In the one then before this we find in that land now known
as Egyptian land, and during that period when there were
turmoils and strife through those conditions as arose from
the banishment of the priest. The entity then of the
household of the priest, being a sister; yet rebelling
AGAINST the priest when banished, or taking sides rather with
the king, in that this offered to the entity the easiest way
out for the moment; and in this experience the entity lost
AND gained, and lost. Being in this position socially,
politically, many were the favors that were shown TO the
entity, in the name Arhira. In these favors shown, the
entity took advantage of same in some manners; for when
persecutions arose to the house, and the entity sided with
those that made for the easier way with the rebellions that
arose, then hardships came, and the entity sought to know
more of those tenets that were brought by the priest.
Learning of same, then brought AGAIN those of an unusual
experience in that sojourn; LOSING again when the settling of
affairs brought ease, the entity failed to pass ON to others
that gained in the experience. In the present much may be
gained from this experience; for - as for most individuals in
this experience, and that of the Egyptian sojourn - compare
almost in the cycle of experiences TO be, that would the
entity gain that as of the Creative Forces in THEIR activity
in the earth, these will make FOR the better activities in
the entity's experience, bringing contentment, and an
understanding of ALL of those forces that easily beset
others; and the entity may BECOME, then, that of BEING more
able, more capable, of acting in the PROPER relationships to
others that have different IDEAS, as well as those that act
in accordance with their own ideals.
IN the abilities of the entity in the present, and that to
which it may attain, and how:
First know self and self's relationships to the Creative
Forces in the universe, and applying those abilities day by
day, in WHATSOEVER way OR manner as presents itself, will
bring joy, peace and understanding; for in service to others
is the highest service as may be RENDERED to the Maker; for
He came that we MIGHT have life, and light, and HAVE it MORE
abundantly! Keep that committed unto thee, for FAITHFUL IS
he that keeps that in the way that leads to MORE light, more
understanding.
Ready for questions.
(Q) What can this body do, or study, to have a better vision
of life and make a better helpmate to her husband and to
humanity?
(A) Study the Book of Life as found in human experience, and
study self first - as this: Make for self - as is the intent
in every act - ROTE; as WHY this relationship, WHY THAT
relationship! ANALYZE same, and you will see yourself as
plain as one looking in a mirror.
(Q) Was there any association between this entity and her
sister [
243] in a former experience? If so, which period
and what connection? [See
243-10 on
7/23/30.]
(A) Close associations in two, distant associations in
another. These will be seen by comparison. Once a helpmate,
once an associate, once a looker-on from afar.
(Q) Is there a message for this body, or any member of the
family, from Mother? [3776?]
(A) (After long pause) Not at present.
(Q) Any other advice for the body at this time?
(A) Study to show thyself approved unto God, rightly
dividing the words of truth, avoiding the appearance
of evil, keeping self unspotted from the world. We are
through.

BACKGROUND
She previously obtained Physical Rdgs.
REPORTS
12/26/31 Her husband obtained a Life Rdg.
348-14.
Subsequently she and her husband obtained Ck. Physical Rdgs.
5/03/34 "I have been working about three weeks. Being out of
the business for nearly thirteen years has made a vast
difference, both in myself and in the way of making hats, and
it has been very hard for me - then, too, not being as well
as I might be hasn't helped the situation very much."
See subsequent Ck. Physical readings for her chronic colitis,
and especially
340-29 on
9/28/34, giving spiritual advice.
3/17/43 "I have just finished THERE IS A RIVER. One who
thinks so much of you couldn't read it without weeping, but
at the same time it is so interesting, so well written, such
beautiful thoughts - in all it's just you. In reality,
though, you have done so many more wonderful things than the
book portrays. The philosophy I can't quite grasp yet, but
I shall read it in its entirety again and again, and maybe
I can better understand... For such a beautiful life as
yours to emerge from all the trials, the struggles, the
disappointments - yet one who has been loved by all who
really knew you...yet you have kept your feet on the ground -
a man of God."
4/27/58 She wrote that she was working in the office of a
lady osteopath and getting treatments which were helping her.
"I know I don't have to tell you what it meant to give up my
precious sister [[
243], who died last summer]. She was
everything to me - a mother, sister, councillor, and a
constant companion, and I tried so hard to keep her with us,
but I guess the pull was too great on the other side. It is
my one hope in life that I may so live that I have a happy
reunion to look forward to.
"There's nothing I would like better that a vacation at the
Beach, but the prospects aren't very promising now. [Husband
[
348]] isn't at all well, and unless there's a change for the
better I couldn't leave him."
11/26/59 She contributed to the progress of the E.C.F. work
in preparing the readings.
4/19/64 "I don't have to tell you what it means to lose loved
ones who were as close as my wonderful sister [
243] and my
dear husband [
348]." [7/65 We heard that another sister,
Mrs. [
635], died. We also heard that her husband's invalid
brother was living with her and she was taking care of him
in his last days.]
See her subsequent health correspondence under
340-47
Reports.
6/03/72 She wrote about her namesake niece: "[
421] and I are
the only ones left of our family here. I see her as often as
I can but live quite a long way from her. Her father [
1194]
is 93 yrs. and doesn't want to be uprooted. I don't blame
him, but it's difficult for [
421] having to work and look
after him."
