Put a poultice of grapes, cool - grapes of any character,
preferably Concord but any character, crushed - except those
without seed, don't use those - we want those with seed for
it's the tartaric acid that we are giving that we want the
reaction from. Crush same, place between thin cloths over
the abdomen, extending up to the lower end of the stomach,
to overcome this nausea and tendency for the reaction to the
head and throat and the irritations that arise.
If these are unable to be obtained, then take the Tartaric
Acid to use in a pack; not a saturated solution but a little
less than saturated solution; that in water or tap water will
be well, for we want it that cool. Put this then in packs
three or four or five thicknesses, just wring this out of
same and place over the same area.
Have the manipulative forces gently given along the spine.
After the eliminations are set up and the head is easy, then
begin with those same properties as has been indicated for
the removal of inflammation through the alimentary canal.
Do that.
Ready for questions.
(Q) What diet should be taken during this period?
(A) That is a semi-liquid diet would be preferable.
We are through with this reading.
