This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home, 322 Grafton Avenue, Dayton, Ohio, this 28th day of August, 1924, in accordance with request made by self - [341].

1. GC: You will answer any questions I will ask you relative to this body, as I ask them?
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here. We have had this before, you see.
3. (Q) What change is taking place in the eyes?
   (A) In the eyes, as well as in the rest of the system, we find the body a great deal better than when we had it before. The condition in the eyes is the removing of the stain produced by the impingements in the upper dorsal region. As this impingement is released, and the nerve supply and the blood flow as removes dross from the system, the general condition improves. In this we find the greater change is in the strain as has been in the eye from this condition, but the strain in usage of eye keeps the irritation, and they should not be used so much, you see, in the very strong light, or strained in subdued light. Too much reading, you see.
4. (Q) What is the condition of the tonsils and what should be the treatment for them?
   (A) We find, as in every condition that we would find in body where the circulation has been impaired, and where the impingement produces dross in system, as has in this in the flow toward the head, and in neck, that those glands, those portions of tissue where secretions gather, as in this, they show the effect in the tonsil. When the condition in the blood supply, for which the medicinal properties are taken, [341-4] have set the condition better, and the eliminations are started in their proper channel, this may be removed by absorption, you see. Should be. That is, if the strain in the other portions of the body does not keep in that condition. If this is not removed, then remove the tonsils, but the blood supply in the body at the present time is not in that condition to remove tonsils at present, neither have the medicinal properties been taken sufficient time to set the system in the proper condition, or started eliminations in their channels, as the medicinal properties given act in this manner. In the blood supply from central portion, in the lacteal glands, you see, there is taken into system those properties which act in the system as the scavengers for the tissue through which the blood supply flows. When tissue of any character is in the supplying to the eyes, and to the throat, to the tonsils, to the adenoids; you see he has had some troubles with these too; this, when this is taken, as the properties are given in the system as to increase the amount of those that act in that manner in the body. This is taken as the reduction of these properties forming in tissue that which will cleanse the system, not taking too much. Taken as given, we will reduce it, if the strain is not kept in portions of the body, and the eliminations are set by the adjustments that is removing impingements in the upper portion of body, and the diet is kept correct.
5. (Q) What effect does tonsils have on general condition?
   (A) Diseased tonsils may have all manner of effect on system. As in this condition here, in this body we are speaking of, [341], this backing of the poisons in this portion affects the eyes direct, and with the impingement, and with the forces that are used, or the dross are not removed from the system, this then accentuates that condition. With the removal of impingements, so that circulation is free, so that the dross and the extra amount of dross is being, and should be, taken care of by the action of medicinal properties to assist the general condition. The action of diet then being the other element, but do not strain the eyes, or the throat, while this is taken. Should this not remove condition in tonsils, remove tonsils by operation, but when blood is in better condition; this can be seen you see in eight to ten days.
   Follow this out, those conditions as have been given for this body. That which has been done is good. Care for the body through self.
