As we find, the better branch would be in the Personnel of
the Army, and for the preparation to be through, or under,
General Moore [Maj. Gen. Richard C. Moore, #7 Army War
College, 4th & T St., S.W. Washington, D.C.] at the War
College; that will give definite line of endeavor, also allow
the body-mind to apply those ideals in relationships to
activities of individuals that are chosen for the definite
services that MUST and will be continued in one form or
another when there are the attempts for the making of peace
with other lands. For this will come, now, within a short
period. As to the character of individuals chosen for the
helpers in various fields, the entity may adapt itself under
this special direction in a manner that would be in keeping
with ideals, in fitting self for better conditions and for
being of greater service both to its country and to its
ideals and purposes in the present emergencies.
Ready for questions.
(Q) Should the change as recommended be accomplished by
attempting the Officers Training, or by a transfer from the
30th Special Service Company?
(A) There ARE those channels through which it may be had, as
a transfer. Then, as for the preparations from or for this
Special Service, be directed from the War College, and that
would make it much more secure.
(Q) Then I should not put in my application for Officers
Training while in the 30th Special Service?
(A) No harm for this to be put in, but make application
through those directed channels as may be had through the
relationships with or recommendations by General Moore, that
this be sent THROUGH the War College, see?
(Q) Would Mr. [
257], who has offered his help, be the best
one to work through?
(A) Be the best one to set these channels or conditions in
ORDER, that this be a request from Moore.
(Q) What letters of recommendation, if any, should be sent
to Gen. Moore?
(A) Only when he asks for same. For, there are already
connections set up that will receive consideration when this
channel is opened. And with the conversation with Moore,
THEN there is to be considered that the desire of the body is
to prepare self to aid in the SELECTING of individuals in the
various posts that are to be filled in other countries.
We are through for the present.

REPORTS
Questions he submitted which did not get asked: "Which of
the following types of work should I apply for, or would you
advise some other branch: Special Service Officer, Personnel
Officer, Public Relations Officer?... Is it possible that
seeking training as an officer would keep me in the service
longer than remaining with the 30th Special Service Company,
and considering this possibility what action would you
advise?"
