We would in the present, then, give that there be first
prepared this: To 1 and 1/2 gallons of distilled water, we
would add: (Stir these in, in the order given.)
Wild Cherry Bark......................2 ounces,
Sarsaparilla Root.....................2 ounces,
Yellow Dock Root......................1 ounce,
Burdock Root..........................1 ounce,
Calisaya Bark.......................1/2 ounce,
Prickly Ash Bark......................1 ounce,
Podophyllum (or powdered
Mandrake Root).....................1 grain,
Buchu Leaves..........................1 dram,
Elder Flower..........................2 ounces.
Reduce by slow boiling to 1 quart. This may be reduced, of
course, to a lower quantity and then water added to make the
quart, see - just so it is well DRAINED from the herbs. Then
add 2 drams Balsam of Tolu (cut in 3 ounces pure grain
alcohol, as a preservative).
The dose of this would be a teaspoonful 4 times each day,
before meals and at bedtime.
When the pains are excruciating in the head, well that -
along the region of the cervical area (from the base of the
brain to a point just between the shoulder blades) - there be
applied Epsom Salts packs, saturated solution, as hot as the
body can bear same.
Well, too, at the same time, that there be applied the same
applications (Epsom Salts packs), when the pain is severe,
across the lumbar and sacral area (over the hips and just to
the small of the back, or across the kidney area - see? that
comes to the 2nd and 3rd rib, see; from the base of the spine
to the 2nd and 3rd rib area).
It would be well also that each evening there be applied the
electrically driven vibrator, using the cup or sponge, over
the whole cerebro-spinal system; behind the head and eyes,
over the arms, down the lower limbs, over the whole body -
but PARTICULARLY over the cervical, dorsal and lumbar area -
see? It would be given for ten to fifteen minutes each
evening.
In a period of three to ten days we should see the decided
change for the better.
It would be necessary that during this whole time the body
take PLENTY of water, six to eight glasses full each day.
When necessary it would be well that an enema be taken to
relieve the pressures in the colon, and thus cleanse the body
of the poisons that will be eliminated and absorbed by the
properties in the compound.
As to the diet, we find that it would be well to adhere to
this, in a manner, as an outline; which may be altered or
changed, of course, to meet the emergencies or the conditions
- see?
Mornings - citrus fruit juices OR cereals; which may be taken
with milk, canned or dried milk as prepared for this purpose;
these furnish the vitamins as necessary for the recuperative
forces of the body.
Noons - preferably arrowroot, junket, gelatin or the like, or
Jello and those foods of that nature. These will make for an
active force WITH the active principles that are being
created for absorptions in the system.
Evenings - not too heavy meats, but well cooked vegetables
(that are not TOO greasy, for these tend to make heaviness in
the circulation).
And in the ten days there should be seen decided changes for
improvements. Then we may give further instructions, or it
would be necessary for changes in the applications for the
body, [
343] - colored. [See 343-1, Par. R1.]
(Q) Of what nature is the growth, and just where is it?
(A) As indicated, produced by adhesions - in the torso of
the body - the pressures produce the head area disturbance,
see?
We are through for the present.

REPORTS
6/02/33 GD's note: We felt that EC remarked on the fact that
Mrs. [
343] was a negro for the benefit of Mr. L. B. Cayce who
was present. Mr. LBC had claimed that in the early years,
before a systematic record was kept, EC had refused to give
a reading for a negro. No doubt, because of his own racial
prejudice, Mr. L. B. [Leslie B. Cayce] would have refused to
conduct a reading for a negro.
10/16/67 GD's note: Subsequently, to my own personal
knowledge, two other physical rdgs. were given for negroes -
see
690-1 and
1559-1. No doubt there were others, since the
majority of readings were for people at a distance and unless
they specified on their applications that they were negroes,
how could one tell? Of course readings were also given on
people of many other races besides white. [Also
709-1 was a
negro.]
8/03/33 Mrs. [
343] obtained Ck. Physical
343-2, which
indicated that the adhesion or growth was in the caecum area.
