REPORTS
10/13/30 Letter from [
340] to EC: "...[
348] seems to be
getting along very nicely. He hasn't had any temperature
since you were here and on Sat. night I started being night
nurse. The Dr. said he thought I could alright, so they put
a cot in the room and we manage very nicely. They haven't
even propped him up in bed yet - he is still flat on his back
- they say it will be several days before he can be propped
up."
10/17/30 Letter from EC to [
340]: "...I hope he [
348] will
soon be able to travel. As I told you, come home as soon as
you feel he is able. Don't take any risks, but let us know -
leave on the evening train, and - as I spoke to Dr. Lydic
this morning - we will phone the authorities here and have
them bring the car down right in front of the hospital if
possible..."
