East Orange, N.J. Sept. 24, 1933
My dear Mr. Cayce -
Mrs. [
360] came to my office on Thursday - she brought your
reading. It was very instructive to check my spinal analysis
against your psychic reading.
The HD has a vasomotor reflex to the retina and is distinctly
subluxated in Mrs. [
360]'s case.
3 & 4 C - are rotated - interfering with direct nerve supply
to eye.
This is a very clear substantiation of your analysis.
Mrs. [
360] will get a violet ray machine and use as you
directed at home. Also the potato poultice for the eyes.
Maplewood is only a short distance from East Orange so that
I have asked Mrs. [
360] to come three times a week - Monday,
Wednesday & Friday at 3:00 p.m., for the next week for
adjustments - will report her progress at end of week.
Can let her set her own price for treatment as I want her to
be under careful supervision and would not want any thought
of COST to operate as an inhibition in her case.
Mrs. [
360] has consulted all the regular physicians in this
vicinity and from their viewpoint is a hopeless chronic
(tubercular?) case.
I found that it was a little too early to get a healing group
started will try again in a few weeks.
Sincerely yours,
Cornelia J. Browne, D.C., N.D.
9/30/33 Sister's ltr.: "Dr. Browne has given Mrs. [
360] four
treatments, is very much interested in the case and has
relieved the tension in the upper spine.
"Mrs. [
360] has been looking for a violet ray machine with
double eye applicator and finally succeeded in getting one
yesterday. Dr. Browne has had no experience with it, so I
will have to ask you for more definite directions. Shall I
use it for 1 and 1/2 minutes for a week, then for 2 minutes
for a week and 3 minutes after that, or shall I increase the
time faster or more slowly? And how can I judge how strong
to use it at first and when and how much to increase it?
"Mrs. [
360] does not sleep well and has to get up
3-4 times
during the night, so she thinks the potato poultices would do
more harm than good, during the night. Would it be well to
try them during the day or evening?
"Thank you again for your interest and help."
10/06/33 EC's ltr.: "Yes, I would use the violet ray in the
beginning for 1 and 1/2 minutes the first week, then about
2 minutes for the next week, and three minutes the next,
and so on. You can only judge about the strength to use it
according to the reactions Mrs. [
360] has to the tr. You can
turn it on, placing the applicator on your hand, and be able
to tell how to adjust the machine so as not to use it full
strength.
"Since Mrs. [
360] has trouble sleeping, it probably would be
just as well to use the potato poultice in the evenings, or
afternoons."
10/09/33 Dr. Cornelia J. Browne's letter: "Mrs. [
360] feels
stronger and can do more, but the eyesight remains the same
and she has quite a little pain in the eyes.
"She is using the violet ray and puts the scraped potato on
in the evening. When it is dry it seems to irritate, so she
has removed it as it keeps her awake. I think she is looking
forward to seeing you when you come north."
11/26/33 See
360-4 at which Mrs. [
360] and her sister and
Dr. Browne were present.
