This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 7th day of May, 1942, in accordance with request made by the self - Mr. [361], through his mother, Mrs. [303], Active Member of the Ass'n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

Present: Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno. Mrs. [303] and Mrs. [263].

TEXT

1. GC: You will have before you the body and enquiring mind of [361], Hqr. and Hqr. Squadron, 6th Interceptor Command, 10th Naval District, San Juan, Puerto Rico, together with his physical conditions, his mental and spiritual outlook, his work, his attainment to the Quartermaster Dept. and his approach to same. You will examine these thoroughly and give specific information that will be easily understood by the body; answering the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: We have the body, the enquiring mind, [361]; this we have had before. Ready for questions.
3. (Q) Please outline the condition of my body at this time and give suggestions that will aid in bringing my body to normalcy.
   (A) In the main we find the physical forces of the body very good. It would be well, under the general circumstance, if there were taken - as an aid to resistance for this body - the One A Day brand of the B-1 complex tablets. One a day of these, as combined with the general resistances attempted in the present environs, would enable the body to resist those tendencies for the disturbances through alimentary canal, as well as through soft tissue of head, throat and nasal passages; and would also aid the eye condition.
4. (Q) What is cause and relief for hurting in my side?
   (A) Not sufficient resistance in soft tissue of the respiratory system, as has been indicated.
5. (Q) Cough?
   (A) Most of this comes from the stomach and irritation in the mucous membranes, as given. The vitamin tablets taken regularly for periods of at least four to six weeks at a time, especially this character of resistance tablets as indicated, would be well for the body.
6. (Q) The tired and sluggish feeling?
   (A) As indicated.
7. (Q) Please suggest a remedy for heat rash and Athlete's Foot.
   (A) As indicated, the vitamin forces will be well for those internal troubles, see. Ray's Ointment or Ray's Solution as prepared for Athlete's Foot is in accordance with the best conditions, as we find. This applied also to the rash will be most beneficial.
8. (Q) Dysentery?
   (A) We have given it!
9. (Q) Will it be necessary for me to wear glasses?
   (A) Depending upon how much more resistance is builded by the things indicated for the body. If the work is to be close, or confined, it would be well for glasses.
10. (Q) What is the cause and relief for the severe headaches I have?
    (A) We have given it!
11. (Q) How may I improve my memory?
    (A) We have given it!
12. (Q) Is the work I am now doing a stepping stone to the Quartermaster Dept.? If not, please advise me just how to make the approach that will place me in that department.
    (A) This is a stepping stone, if there is still the insistency of the body that this is to be the department or phase of activities, see?
13. (Q) Has the experience thus far been necessary to prepare me for my work in the Quartermaster Dept.?
    (A) Not NECESSARY entirely, but it may be made or used very beneficially as these changes are brought about.
14. (Q) Is there any indication that I will be transferred to the States to go to school?
    (A) If there is the insistence to those in authority, eventually the body will be.
15. (Q) Please give me advice that will help me to carry on.
    (A) THIS would depend, of course, upon the acceptance of same and that which has been indicated to the body - in ALL its activities. Though the expressions in the main may be viewed from a very material angle, or considered a very material experience for an individual, yet as an individual application of self in every contact with individuals and with things and problems may be from a spiritual basis - IF it is the purpose of the individual. And, as such is approached, the activities of whatever nature WILL become more worthwhile, more necessary, more filling the needs that befit the body AND its purposes to better serve, in whatever capacity may be assigned the body, to the glory of God and to the honor of the country.
16. (Q) Please give me an affirmation that will help to awaken me to a better physical, mental and spiritual development.
    (A) Take not to heart too many of conditions as arise in the experience, but in the purposes and ways that have been indicated know that no one is beaten or defeated unless allowing self to become so discouraged as to falter in the purpose and in the oneness of activity.
    Then, let thy prayer be:
    LORD, USE ME IN THE SERVICE OF MY COUNTRY, IN THE SERVICE OF MY FELLOW MAN, IN SUCH A WAY AND MANNER THAT I MAY DO SO TO THY NAME AND GLORY. AND MAY IT BRING THAT AWARENESS, THAT CONSCIOUSNESS OF THE CLOSER WALK WITH THE CHRIST.
