Edgar Cayce Readings, 369-2

Time and Place: 3:30 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Va.

GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for the further improvement of same, and you will answer any questions regarding same that I may ask you.
EC: We have the body here - this we have had before, you see.
Now, we find the general physical conditions of the body much improved from that as we have had here before; yet there are STILL those drosses that need eliminating from the system and the correct vibrations set up throughout the body, that the physical forces may function the more normal.
We would add, then, these properties to the physical forces of the body, and also that vibration that will bring about the more normal coordination throughout the physical functioning of the organs of assimilation and elimination.
Take this, prepared in this manner. First prepare as this:
Take four (4) ounces of Ambrosia Weed [Ragweed] and add to eight (8) ounces of distilled water. Reduce by simmering (not boiling) to one-half (1/2) the quantity. Then add two (2) ounces of sugar first dissolved in one (1) ounce of hot water. Then reduce the whole quantity to the original quantity, or to that as first reduced. Then we would add two (2) ounces of pure grain alcohol, with three (3) drams Balsam of Tolu cut in same, with two (2) minims of Oil of Sassafras and one (1) minim of Tincture of Capsici. The DOSE would be one-half (1/2) teaspoonful twice each day.
For the vibrations of the body use the electrically driven vibrator each evening before retiring. Massage same along the whole length of the cerebrospinal system, well across the diaphragm and across the shoulders and base of brain. Keep this up for at least twenty to twenty-five (20 to 25) minutes EACH evening for at least three to four (3 to 4) weeks. We will find the better normal conditions will be brought for this body, [369].
Do that. Ready for questions.
(Q) Should she continue the Olive Oil and Petrolagar?
(A) Not necessary. When we take THESE properties we will find eliminations will be sufficient, and changed! yet these may be taken occasionally - the Petrolagar, not the Olive Oil with these properties given.
(Q) Can the body eat meat now?
(A) Eat meat in small quantities. Not MORE than once each day, and NO hog meat.
(Q) Should she leave off the Saffron?
(A) This is well to be taken, for this is for the stomach and the assimilations through same.
(Q) Is the massage to be given WITH the vibrator, or given separate?
(A) Given WITH the vibrator. That of the hard applicator along the spine, the sponge over the diaphragm and abdomen, and the shoulders and neck. THIS as a massage. The VIBRATION is that as necessary for the body. The subluxations are not PRONOUNCED as sufficient to necessitate correction in the vertical manner, but the vibrations to the plexus of the various radiating centers need that of the vibratory force to set same in action.
The medicinal properties are as the eliminator, and as that necessary to produce better assimilation, and to add avoirdupois to the body throughout.
That is all the questions.

BACKGROUND

See 369-1 on 9/19/27 advising that she has a condition of hyperchlorhydria (excess hydrochloric acid), incipient peptic ulcer and cirrhosis. She is to follow directions and seek further advice in 3-4 weeks. [She was very much underweight and wondered if the reading would give her anything to increase her weight.]

REPORTS

11/03/27 She obtained a Life reading, 369-3, and on 9/19/28 she obtained Check Life reading, 369-4, she reported that she had improved in health tremendously by following the advice given in 369-1 and 369-2.
4/02/30 She obtained Check Physical reading, 369-5, advising that she was verging on tuberculosis.
