This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 105th Street & Ocean, Virginia Beach, Va., this 18th day of August, 1931, in accordance with request made by his son, [417].

TEXT

  1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [372] - this we have had before.
  2. (Q) What is cause of, and cure for headaches?
    (A) Cause, an unequalized circulation. Cure, a general application of these things or conditions within the system as would bring about an equalizing of the eliminations and assimilations of the system. As we find, there are many changes in the general physical forces of this body since last we had same. There are times when the circulation, through that of a torpid liver area or activity, brings a pressure on the heart's action. At such times there are those recurrent forces, or retractory forces, as produce a violent headache in the temples, in the eyes, or back of eyes. These may be termed, then, as STOMACH or indigestion headaches, though this would be IMPROPER conclusion - though with the settling of the stomach, with the activity of the eliminating system, the headaches would disappear. As does the COOLING of the system, and a sedative that acts WITH the eliminating system, relieve same.
    WE would have those manipulations that would lower, or cause the activities of the plexus that governs the heart's action - not working AGAINST digestive ares, but coordinating WITH the eliminations and WITH the digestive area; using colonic irrigations to reduce the temperatures as are brought about in the digestive system, equalizing the circulation; and we will find we will remove most of these disorders as exist with the body, [372], at present. We would NOT take medicinal properties in the present, save at times we WOULD take that that acts as a stimuli to the respiratory system, as will allow the oxygen through the lung area to be more effective in clarifying the blood supply. These, as we would find, would be to take a one grain tablet of the Calcidin two or three times each day, if necessary but about once each day SHOULD be sufficient to clarify, IF the manipulations are given in their proper way and manner.
  3. (Q) What is the cause of faint spells, and what can be done for this?
    (A) Just been given as to how the faint spells, through the activity of the heart, and the applications as will change for the circulatory system, allowing the respiratory system to act and be active with the system so that the circulation will relieve it.
  4. That is all the questions regarding this body.
