(Physical Suggestion, with special reference to ear and hearing)

EC: Yes, we have the body here, [375] and those conditions that affect the body-physical, the body-mental, and their relationships with those disturbances in the physical forces of the body.
As we find, there are some disturbances of a physical nature that affect the body in relation to the impulses in the coordinating of the sympathetic and cerebro-spinal centers, as related to auditory forces.
We also find there are other disorders that affect the body in eliminations, and their relationships to the impulses in the system.
These, then, are the conditions as we find them with this body, [375] we are speaking of, present in this room:
First, the BLOOD SUPPLY of the body is very good in many respects, yet the indications are that - the eliminations being disturbed, especially through certain periods in the activities of the system - drosses of a nature are left which, if allowed to remain as disturbances, must eventually affect the body in producing disorders that would become troublesome to the body.
In the NERVE FORCES, or NERVE SYSTEM, do we find the basis of the condition, and also the effect of the disturbances in the cerebro-spinal system as to the coordinating between sympathetic and cerebro-spinal, from the 4th dorsal plexus and the 3rd and 2nd cervical plexus, as with the secondary condition in the lumbar area. These are the areas where we find subluxations that produce or cause the disorders that affect the sensory forces of the body, particularly in the auditory center. Not of the nature as to cause the effect of drainage from the auditory center as much as the impulse in the psychopathic activtiy of the coordinated force between sympathetic and cerebro-spinal; so that, with an overtaxed condition where the hearing, speaking or feeling become so overtaxed, there is the inability of the system to coordinate, or to make for responses in a normal way and manner. Hence, too much of a noise is more disturbing to the body than too little, yet if there are so many noises or activities, whether these come from the auditory or from the odor, or from activities of organs in other portions of the sensory system, these then become confused in their distribution. The reason, the impingements in these particular areas supply an over abundance of removal of the used forces, without the impulse for supplying sufficient nerve energy through supplying blood forces to produce the proper balance in that particular portion of the system.
Then, this is connected directly with the psychic or psychopathic, or the activities of the sensitive forces of the body; thus drosses are left in portions of the system and there is an over eliminating in other centers.
In meeting the needs of the conditions, then:
As we find, these may be best balanced by a massage that would equalize the centers as indicated; in the 4th and 3rd dorsal area, 4th, 3rd and 2nd cervical area, and in the lumbar area. These centers may be stimulated sufficiently by the use of the electrically driven vibrator, provided there is sufficient heat applied before the application to draw circulation to those particular centers - see? Though the application would be, of course, along the whole cerebro-spinal system, particular attention should be given in the particular centers mentioned, with the heat - preferably wet heat - applied first; and the application would be made about three times each week.
We should also use the Radio-Active Appliance for creating an equal balance in the extremity circulation, which will prevent the tendency for clamminess at times for the hands and at others cold sensations arising in feet or hands, or extremities.
These, as we find, will make for an equalization throughout the physical forces of the body, [375].

(Q) How may the heat be applied?
(A) Preferably heavy crash towels dipped in very hot water, then rinsed until they are as dry as may be by hand - see?
(Q) How long should the vibrator be used at a time?
(A) From five to fifteen minutes.
(Q) Any eliminating medicine?
(A) Any that keeps an equal balance with the eliminations through the system, as would be well with watching the diet; but with the manipulations given through the vibrator and with the electrical forces in the extremities (of course, opposite portions of the body), the eliminations should be brought to a near normal balance.
(Q) How long should the Radio-Active Appliance be used at a time?
(A) Thirty minutes to an hour and a half.
(Q) Should this be used each day?
(A) Preferably we would use it the days the vibrator is given, about three times each week.
(Q) Any special diet?
(A) One that is well-balanced, as indicated, to keep the eliminations and a building for a general development of nerve and blood supply of the system. No SPECIAL diet.
(Q) When will the body be able to hear perfectly?
(A) In six weeks.
(Q) Have the tonsils been entirely removed and was the operation helpful to the body?
(A) Needed at the time. There are some portions that need to be absorbed, by the manipulative forces from the vibrator given through the upper cervicals, see?
(Q) Are the ear drums bent?
(A) No.
(Q) What is the cause and cure for the pimples on the face?
(A) Haven't we just given that there are poor eliminations in some directions and over eliminations in others? Balance the diet, stimulate the circulation to have the eliminations corrected, keep more of an alkalin reaction, and these will disappear. There's sufficient electrical force in the Radio-Active and the electrical vibrator to stimulate the circulation, so that there will be a balance in the eliminations.
Do as we have given.
(Q) To what musical notes and colors does the body vibrate?
(A) C G - purple and mauve.
(Q) Are cosmetics harmful to the body, if not what powder should the body use?
(A) Any cosmetics are not particularly helpful to a body that is well balanced in its physical reactions. To some they are considered as an aid to their better looks. Then, for this particular body, the Black and White preparations would be best - the Chicago, not the southern (That is, the GENUINE and not Plough's).
(Q) What is the cause that sometimes the body can hear quite well, then again it cannot?
(A) As indicated, pressures on certain portions in the upper dorsal and cervical area prevent coordination between the cerebro-spinal and sympathetic nerve energies; and at times they become confused on account of OVERACTIVITY, see?
(Q) Any other advice to the body?
(A) Do this for the present, and in six weeks we should have a near normal balance.

BACKGROUND

7/27/33 Miss [307] came with her young cousin, saying that Miss [375] was bothered with periodic deafness; she wondered if it was due to lack of complete tonsillotomy. Miss [375] also was concerned over constant recurrence of pimples on face.

8/16/33 Miss [307]'s letter: "I came here to [N.C.] especially to see that [375] would get her reading carried out correctly and I am seeing to it that she does. Her father has ordered everything that the reading called for; bought the very best vibrator and has ordered the Appliance from Gray Salter.
