This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 12th day of October, 1937, in accordance with request made by the self - Mrs. [379], Active Member of the Ass'n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

TEXT

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [379].
2. As we find, the conditions that are causing the greater disturbance at the present are from impingements in the cerebrospinal system, by a slipping of a vertebra or segment.
3. And if there would be one or two adjustments, and then the general care that there are the activities that do not overtax the system in those directions, we should find quite a difference in the general conditions of the body.
4. These as we find are through the whole of the dorsal area; that is, the areas for corrections, see? As for any particular or specific segment, we find these produce in this particular condition pressures all along. Hence these should be coordinated through the dorsal with the lumbar and, of course, through the cervical areas.
5. This removal of the pressure will allow normal conditions then to react through the impulses of the nerve system as well as the circulatory system.
6. Do this, and then keep the general conditions, and we will find conditions improving and correcting themselves.

8. (Q) What about the knees?
   (A) These only need the rubs for increasing or making for the better circulation. The better combination for rubbing, as we find, would be the salt rum - or salt and vinegar; over the knees specifically. This will take away the hot and cold feelings in the feet also. Of course, also massage over the calf of the leg and through the feet. Then bathe off in tepid water. But rub until there is a feeling even of a little irritation around the knee, under the knee. These rubs, of course, are given separately from the general treatments and coordination of those corrective forces necessary in the cerebrospinal system.
   Do that.
9. (Q) The uneasiness at times in caecum area, etc?
   (A) This is only a reflection of those conditions that exist in the dorsal and cervical and, naturally, the lumbar area.
10. (Q) Does the girdle I am wearing help the abdominal organs, also back?
    (A) It helps the abdominal organs. Not so much the back, because this needs correction - and the girdle will be more beneficial when the corrections are made.
11. (Q) Any change in diet at present time?
    (A) This as we find is very good, if these are kept or if the corrections are made so that the system may respond.
12. (Q) When the body gets feeling normal, what should it do in order to keep it feeling physically fit at all times?
    (A) Keep a normal balance in diet, taking those precautions that have been indicated as to overexertion especially in heavy lifting and pushing and pulling.
13. (Q) Please give affirmation that would help me physically, mentally and spiritually.
    (A) INTO THY HANDS, O FATHER, I GIVE MYSELF; IN BODY, IN MIND; THAT THY FORCES OF GOOD, THY INFLUENCE, MAY BE MANIFESTED TO THOSE I CONTACT DAY BY DAY.
    Not only this as rote, but as feeling and active in word and truth.
14. (Q) Does the dream I had last night - regarding the opening of four eggs and chickens coming out - have anything to do with my physical condition?
    (A) Rather as we find it has to do with that which was part of the experience in talking to some others just about two days ago, regarding chickens and their value in the experience of individual in a home.
    NOT regarding the body.

1. See 379-11 on 7/28/37 for pain in back, chest, caecum, due to overactivity in weakened condition.
2. 10/12/37 She phoned questions about pain in back, weak knees, uneasiness in caecum area, etc.

REPORTS

1. 10/12/37 She made an appointment with Dr. Gena L. Crews, D.O., for tomorrow, saying she had never before had an osteopathic or any other kind of adjustment to her spine.
2. 4/01/38 She obtained 568-2 for son.
3. Later she reported that the condition was relieved after the adjustments were given as advised.
4. 3/08/39 She referred her neighbor, Mrs. [1840].
5. 5/01/39 See her next Ck. Physical, 379-13, advising about nausea, headaches in mornings, bad breath; swelling or growth in neck at throat, etc.
