2/03/33 EC's letter: "I'm certainly glad you are feeling
somewhat better. If you will follow out those suggestions
given in the last, I believe you will get rid of that
tendency to continually take cold; but it's going to require
that you take several real good rubdowns, or possibly the
best thing would be the Turkish bath and the massage that
comes with it. Of course, you don't want to take too much
laxatives, but sufficient to keep your system cleansed while
the poisons are already stirred up in your system; otherwise
they might settle back anywhere, wherever there is a strain
or a weak spot. Like water will run to the lowest place, the
poisons in your system will settle in the weakest spot.
That's why you have to take advantage of the situation at
present.
We are looking forward to seeing you in the near future.
With all good wishes, I am"

Letter to EC in D.C.:
4/14/35 "I hate to bother you because I know you must be
pretty busy, but this might be very important to me. I don't
know whether there's any cause to be alarmed or not, but I
want to be sure. I want to get a reading to find out whether
I have any sign of a venereal disease or not. It might be
merely a strain but I can't afford to wait and find out.
[
934] and I are back together to stay now and that is all the
more reason why I should be positive about it. It is the
same as it was before when I got a rdg. a few yrs. ago, a
leaking at the head of the penis. Please let me know as soon
as possibly because that is a mighty good way to wreck a
couple of lives if there is anything wrong and there isn't
anything done for a while."

391-9 indicating a return of the conditions about
which he had been warned in 391-5, due to indiscretions, "not
only in the STRAINING of the body but in the bringing about
of the recurrent reactions that make for distresses in the
activities and the discharges..." He was told to repeat the
precautions, injections, same applications as suggested in
391-5. We referred him to Dr. M. L. Richardson, D.O.
[He had not secured the Swedish baths, sweats, etc.]
5/02/35 Dr. M. L. Richardson's note:
"From my examination of the specimen left in my office, the
condition appears to be one somewhat out of my line of
treatment. Under suitable treatment it undoubtedly will
promptly clear up. Sorry as I am always glad to serve
Mr. Cayce & his cases but medicine is to broad for one man
to treat everything."
