11/26/35 "I am having head trouble; that is, hay fever or
something similar. It began on Aug. 15th. At first we
thought it a heavy head cold, but after waiting many weeks
for it to leave, I finally asked and ear, eye and nose
specialist. He said my trouble was hay fever and prescribed
drops for nose. Still no relief, so I patiently waited for
frost and rain, thinking relief would surely come. Since
cold weather set in the trouble is worse than ever and I am
truly miserable. I am now wondering if Mr. Cayce could help
me. These are the symptoms: much sneezing (which is a
strain on my heart), nose constantly running, even when
entirely stopped up. For hours at a time it is possible to
breathe only through the mouth. Eyes water and burn and
itch. Throat becomes dry. At times the congestion in nasal
passage is so severe that I feel as though I were choking.
"The above covers the case, I believe. The specialist wishes
me to change my diet. As it is exactly the opposite of the
diet list Mr. Cayce sent me, I have refused to try it. Dr.
Nona Grapes [N.D., Neuropath] says she is POSITIVE the
trouble is NOT hay fever...
"Naturally this trouble has somewhat retarded my progress.
It makes me very nervous and depressed."
REPORTS
1/12/36 Dr. Nona Grapes' letter: "Mrs. [
394]'s last rdg. is
much the most wonderful of any given - as I see the case. I
was expecting to write you when yours came. Not the least
strange was that it came by special delivery while I was
there and trying to answer a question she asked me.
Paragraph for paragraph it was exactly as I had told her.
I am having a copy made to put with the case history [11/35
Bul.] which you sent me. Your help has been much
appreciated."
