2/03/44 Letter to GD:
"Yesterday I wired you in connection with Mr. [...] about
whom I wrote you on Monday.
"I have given this person Mr. Cayce's book and he read it
within twenty-four hours. To be sure not to mislead him,
I gave him one of my readings and ever since, he does not
want to hear of a doctor but wants to have a reading from
Mr. Cayce. His parents are good Catholics and are falling
on their knees and hoping that a way can be found to have the
reading for him immediately. These people are desperately in
need and there is really nothing I can do about it.
"At the present time, this man spends most of his time in a
bathtub filled with water in order to have some relief from
his itching. Would you see what can be done to help this
party? I am receiving telephone calls from them daily and I
am really embarrassed about this matter, since it is beyond
my power to help them.
"From what I can gather, his condition is somewhat similar
to mine some years ago and it is this particular reading
[412-11] which I have turned over to him. I am trying to
prevail upon them to follow that road for the time being.
Whether it is the right thing or not, I do not know.
However, that is what I am trying to suggest to them..."
[GD's note: Due to EC's own illness and appointments ahead,
he was unable to give a reading for the above individual.]
