This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 28th day of February, 1939, in accordance with request made by the self and daughter, Mrs. [578], Active Members of the Ass'n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

Present: Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno.

TEXT

1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for further corrective measures; answering the questions she has submitted, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes.
3. Here we find it may be said that there are rather the effects of dregs of poisons in the system from cold, congestion, and the SLOWNESS of the organs of elimination and assimilation to work with these disturbances.
4. Hence the feelings of hot and cold sensations at times, - at others the languidness and little nausea, and the feeling of the inability to think or to react nominally.
5. As we find, first, - to cleanse these:
6. We would begin with the Syrup of Squill; ten drops about every two hours.
7. And in between these, also every two hours, you see - one taken one hour, the other the next hour - we would take about three drops of Compound Tincture of Benzoin.
8. Take these in this manner during a whole day.
9. Then have the full eliminations by not only taking a laxative - as the Syrup of Figs, - but after this is taken CLEANSE the system with a high enema.
10. These as we find should PURIFY the system in such a manner as to alleviate these disturbances.
11. Then a full or general manipulation, thoroughly given, and especially stimulating the drainages to the alimentary canal, would be most helpful.

13. (Q) Should the Benzoin be taken in water?
    (A) If it is preferable or desirable, but it doesn't mix very well with water!
14. (Q) Why has Dr. Hudgins been unable to make adjustment in dorsal area?
    (A) Owing to the general strain on the body, and the inability of perfect relaxation by the body.
15. (Q) Did I start eating too soon?
    (A) Those combinations that were not so good.
16. (Q) Am I following last Reading correctly?
    (A) Let's do this way for the conditions which exist in the present; for as has been indicated, these have been aided - but there are so many dregs that have been left that have not been cleansed.
    Do these things as indicated for the present.
17. (Q) Why am I unable to relax and sleep at night?
    (A) As just indicated - POISONS!
    Do these things for the better influences for this body.
    We are through with THIS Reading.
