TEXT

1. EC: Yes - [428] - we have the body here. In part we have had this before.
2. Now, we find there are changes in the physical conditions. There is temperature, and there is the straining and separating of tissue which produces the exhuming of the circulation through the bronchi and larynx. This, as we find, may be aided materially by the inhalation of properties prepared in this manner:

   Take Eucalyptol (this at each
using, see?)...................10 minims,
Benzoin............................5 minims,
(These should be kept separate and
then poured in, in this order)
Oil of Turp........................3 minims,
Creosote...........................2 minims.

3. Pour this into a quart of boiling water, and inhale in the throat and nostrils. Best that this be either through a cornucopia or by the head being covered, and of course - to prevent burning of the eyes from those properties that would produce irritation, the cornucopia would make the better manner. This, if used, should not be through metal, but rather of glazed cardboard. This may be done two or three times each day.
4. To prevent the coughing, the irritation following same, as improvements come, use this inhalant:
5. To 4 ounces of pure grain alcohol, add:

   Oil of Eucalyptus.................20 minims,
Canadian Balsam....................5 minims,
Rectified Oil of Turp.............10 minims,
Benzosol in solution..............20 minims,
Tolu in solution..................40 minims.

6. Keep this in a glass corked container at least twice the size of the quantity of solution. Shake well when inhaling two or three times a day.
7. It would be well also that Calcidin - one grain tablet - be taken two or three times each day.
8. The diet should be that which will act well with the digestive system; not sweets, but those that are easy of digestion.
9. Do not allow the disorder or the temperature to produce a reaction on kidneys.
10. This followed, we find the body will improve in two or three days, and in ten days to two weeks we would give further instructions.
11. Ready for questions.
12. (Q) The first inhalant given is for the hemorrhages? [Nosebleeds?] [GD's note: It is remarkable how the rdg. pin-pointed the treatment to suit her need, when from all outward signs - from the wire and past health rdgs. - it could easily have been assumed that she was having pelvic hemorrhages, due to menopause.]
    (A) That is for the opening of the tissue which allows the exhuming. It isn't a hemorrhage proper.
13. We are through for the present.

Copy to her husband, Mr. [322], also wired to him N/L

BACKGROUND

1. See 428-3 on 1/19/31.

REPORTS

1. 6/19/32 Mrs. [428]'s wire: "Everything lovely. Ask further instructions."
2. 6/21/32 See Ck. Physical 428-7.
3. 6/29/32 Letter:
   Dear Gladys:-
Your letter of June 2nd to Mr. [322] [See under 322-1 Reports] remained unanswered due to two reasons. One was that the folks here had all they could do to manage the household with me sick in bed and the second one was that [451] and Mr. [322] had to see to all the preparations for a double celebration, namely [451]'s wedding and our silver anniversary... Do you wonder?
When Mr. [322] telegraphed for the first reading my situation was desperate. I was so weak I could hardly walk a few steps without feeling faint and was almost troubled with continual headaches and moreover, although I was in bed, there was no sign of improvement. Of course the wedding could have been celebrated without me, but the invitations were out for the "silver wedding" and all of a sudden it dawned upon me, that I JUST HAD TO BE PRESENT, there could have been no silver wedding without ME. That was the reason for the "first aid" request.
We had the prescription made up at once and with the first breath of the inhalation I felt relief and within 15 minutes the headache was gone. I repeated this as told and the results were not alone instantaneous, but also far-reaching, as predicted. As a whole, in order to be sure that everything went along alright we called in our family chiropractor [Dr. Christian Peter Eifertsen, D.C.], who was very glad to work according to the reading. I improved daily and was well enough to attend the wedding. I did strengthen myself plentifully with beef tea for the occasion, but stopped that afterwards until I heard from you with further instructions. This help from Mr. Cayce certainly will go down in the family history, for as long as we can remember and [451], it will be known that without this help, "Mother" could not have been present.
