As to the astrological urge, we find Jupiter the greater
ruling influence in the present experience. Hence the
particular phases of earth's activities during the last few
years, especially since '27, have been both good and bad; yet
the spreading of the associations, the connections with
individuals, has brought in the experience of the entity
those material things that would to many be satisfying, yet
to many another these become rather those things that make
for estrangements, entanglements and burdens, when the mental
aptitudes and the mental conditions of the body are taken
into consideration. The influences from Jupiter in the early
portion of last fall made for an association that was rather
satisfying, yet the same activities from the sojourns and
situations have made - with the changes that have come in the
recent experience when those influences of Jupiter are
receding from those activities in the earth - troubles,
consternation, disorders, disruption, in the ideas and the
ideals of the entity. And these, as we find, will continue
for only a short period, when other influences from
astrological sojourns - with the application of the WILL of
self - will be brought into more accord, more attune, with
the desires of the body from its innate and inner self. For,
the triune and conjunction of Jupiter with those that come in
the aspects of Jupiter with Venus and Uranus, will make for
better conditions in the material aspects of the body. This,
as we find, should begin by the 22nd or 23rd of the present
month, and gradually increase in the activities in these
influences to a period of 3 to 4 years.
Venus influences, as we find, make for impulses within the
activities of the entity through this experience, as these:
The marital associations, the loves, the associations in the
inmost secrets of the heart at times have been very pleasant,
very near to idealistic for periods, and then making - as it
were - bitterness in some associations. Yet, with Uranian
influence - which brings the activities of the psychic or
occult forces in the activities of the body-mind - there will
be made the quieting, with the activities in the MENTAL
influences of the body. These should continue in their
associations, if there is builded in the experience of the
entity during those periods the benevolent influences of
Jupiter; though, in a retrospective position, with its
sojourns in Venus and Uranus, there is a greater influence.
Uranus makes for the periods within self of being very strong
in mental impressions, or activities in the experience of
very good or very bad. Hence the influence to the entity
from these influences or IMPULSES will be rather in the
benevolent aspect with Venus AND Jupiter in better aspects to
the Uranian sojourners, as the entity has been. These make
in the mental capacities and abilities of the entity the
estranging influences that have made for currupting the
better influences in self at times.
The arts, artistic relations, music, travel, have been in the
experience of the entity; and those fields of art that
pertain to things, places, that are telling in the interest
in the experiences of individuals are of particular interest,
and should be the field of association or activity of the
entity to bring to self more contentment, more satisfying
influences in the entity's experience.
Those, then, that have to do with the idealistic are of
particular interest to the entity. And only those with such
ideals that are compatible with the ideas and ideals of the
entity may bring to the entity, or may the entity associate
with in such a manner as to bring, contentment or the
satisfying experiences in the activities of the entity.
Hence, as we shall find, the associations of self should be
in these directions rather than in individuals, rather than
in portraiture or even miniature activities; but those that
bespeak of not only the murals or what may be termed the
giving influences in the experience, not commercial forces,
but those that build in the experience of the beholder of
such activities, in painting, in music, in art; rather that
which builds for an answering to a something within the
make-up of the beholders, which makes for a bettering in
their lives.
As to the appearances, then, and those that influence the
entity in the present:
Before this we find the entity was during those periods when
there were the settlings in the land about the present
sojourn of the entity, in the early portions of those
settlings.
The entity then was among the first student body in this
particular land, and in the foundings of the schools in and
about those places of the entity's present sojourn, in that
of Long Island, were the entity's activities.
Through the experience the entity gained and lost, and gained
in the latter portion of the sojourn there. The name then
was Ellen Hender. In the application of self during the
experience, in the early portion the entity gained, for it
applied itself in bringing to others that which would be
helpful to them in their daily experience. With the coming
of power and position in the experience made for the
self-aggrandizing of interests that made for losing in self,
or soul development. Yet, with the trials, with the
temptations that arise with these periods of decline in the
associations and connections, there was brought the ideal
activity of self-development, rather than self-indulgence.
Hence the entity in the last portion developed in the morals,
in the mental attitudes and in soul environment.
As to the influences brought in the material aspects of the
body in the present from that sojourn, there are the
abilities in self that have found little satisfactory outlet
in application that would bring to others that felt innately
in self would be the better experience or development of
others. Hence this has made for an association in contact of
individuals that are capable of, and are able to make for,
creating such influences, for the groups, for the masses.
Before this we find the entity was in that land now known as
the Roman, during those periods when there were trials and
tribulations among the peoples for the thoughts, for the
services, for the activities of the people that remained true
to tenets and principles, ideals, that were created in the
minds and hearts and souls of those during the period.
The entity then was of the household of Elois, and was in the
name Helene. In the early portion of the experience the
entity was among those that joined the games that were
prepared by the rulers during that period of the fights among
the gladiators, among the beasts of the field, and later
those that fought with humankind in the arena.
The rebellions of that something within the self of Helene in
this experience made for the application of self to know
something more of the lives and experiences and impulses that
prompted individuals to give of themselves in such a way and
manner. This brought turmoils and strife, yet there was the
turning within self to the making of an application of self
to those peoples in such a way and manner as to bring in the
experience of many those things that were not only helpful in
the material ways and manners but helpful in the mental and
soul development of the individuals, as well as self.
During the sojourn the entity enjoined self in companionship
with one, Herrotel, that prepared and preserved many of the
paintings of those periods that have become the basis of many
a renowned painter in the more modern and medieval times.
Then, the entity gained throughout, even in those periods
when enjoining self with that which to self later became
mockery; for the heart, the soul of the entity, was rather
with those that suffered in mind and in body. And in
applying self in that which regained much for the respect of
self for the activities, there was builded in the soul's
activity those things that made for soul development.
In the present much turmoil arises within self from the
mental experiences of that sojourn; yet same has oft remained
the bulwark of faith and hope in the whole experience of the
entity. And in same may come that which will in the present
make for the greater sustaining forces that will make for
contentment, peace, harmony, happiness and joy. Not in what
may be termed the periods of turning to religious influences,
but rather the impelling influences in self to do SOMETHING
for those that are aiding others to find themselves, their
places, their positions in the scheme of things, of life, of
their activities. For, as was experienced in that sojourn,
the entity may find in the present that helping others to
help themselves will bring joy, peace, happiness,
contentment, and a life much worth while.
Before this we find the entity was in that experience or
period when there were the journeyings into the desert by the
Grecian peoples for an understanding or a hearing of the
teacher that had builded in that land now known as Arabia.
The entity then was beautiful in body, in mind, beautiful
in purpose; for the entity was of the household of the
leaders in the period. And the entity was dissatisfied with
the activities about self and sought that which had through
the HEARING brought contentment and health and happiness to
the wayfarer in the desert.
Then the entity journeyed into the land and found that which
had brought these developments for the peoples, and enjoined
self in the activities; yet this in itself brought
discontent, by the activities of those through whom, to whom,
the entity in the relationships in the MATERIAL affairs
belonged, as it were. For, it was considered as a deserting
of principles of the entity's upbringing. This brought
turmoils and strife to the entity's experience in the
MATERIAL things or affairs, but in the soul brought
development. For, though the entity lost in material things,
it gained much in the spiritual activities in that
experience, as Joseliny.
In the present from that sojourn there are the turmoils in
the mental activities that have been in the experience of the
entity in the present; yet made for - in the mental and soul
body - the sojourn in the Uranian experiences. Hence in the
present the mystic, the occult, may bring to the entity
satisfying experiences, if the application will be in such a
way and manner as to make for the understanding of self's
relationships to Creative influences in the life.
Before this we find the entity was in that land known as the
Egyptian, during those periods when there were the turmoils
from the rebellions when the Priest had been sent away from
the land into banishment into the Abyssinian land.
The entity then joined in with the leader [
849] of the
rebellion in the land, being a companion and an associate of
the entity, and made for self those experiences that with the
quieting of the rebellion made for many regrets in the
experience. But with the return of peace and the restoring
of the Priest's activities as the leader of the moral and
spiritual life of the peoples, the entity then aided in
making for those relationships of the rulers with the leaders
of the rebellion that made for closer activities in the
duties and the beauties of the land that was gained by those
peoples as they gradually discarded the carnal influences in
their life.
This the entity then made into that which became the
redounding influence in artistic developments of the hangings
and the decorations of the walls and of the temples of the
land, in the name Hat-heptl.
In the experience the entity lost and gained, yet the soul's
influences have turmoils from that experience through the
sojourn from same into Venus.
Then, in the present there are the impulses that are
sometimes hard to be comprehended by the entity in the
association of things that pertain to oriental that bespeak
rather of the occidental application of same. And these
added to that given from the Roman sojourn may make in the
application of that to which the entity may attain in the
present experience, through the artistic associations, those
relationships that may make for the preparation of those
influences in the experience of others that will mean to them
as individuals, as groups, that of hope, faith,
understanding, happiness, joy; and in the application of same
bring into the experience of others these influences, that
will make for the entity in the present the greater joy,
peace, harmony, in the whole experience of the entity.
As to the abilities, then, and that to which the entity may
attain, and how:
In applying self in associations with, or applying self
direct in the applied arts that pertain to creating those
things or aptitudes that will bring happiness to others, with
a joy of life and its experience, and in the applying of self
in aiding those that there may come in THEIR experience
something of joy, something of hope, will bring the greater
experience in the present sojourn.
Ready for questions.
(Q) Why am I blocked so continuously in trying to realize or
bring the ideal, of which I have a clear conception, into my
life here?
(A) As indicated from the experiences through which the
entity has passed in the earth's sojourn, the more often does
it come from impatience with self. For, as seen, while
individuals may hold ideals, the finding of those that have
the basis of their ideals in a kindred thought or manner
makes for those experiences that may be the more helpful.
Yet the experience of self has been that others try to
dominate. The entity may NOT be dominated by any! Those
that have builded soul development, as the entity has, to
them material things mean little save as they make for the
attaining to that which must answer for the ideal. Set the
ideal, then, rather in Creative influences in the experiences
of others, and it will be found that these blocks, these
hindering influences, will fade away.
(Q) Why is everything I love always taken from me?
(A) Even as it has been in the past. That self's SOUL may
be grounded in the hope, the trust, that makes for soul
development. How may this, then, be overcome in self? Make
the loves, the experiences, rather those that will bring joy,
happiness, hope to OTHERS, and it will make for joy,
happiness, a life of activity in the present that will make
for greater contentment, greater joy, greater happiness.
(Q) Will the entity find greatest happiness and expression
in painting?
(A) As given, in painting; or in associating self with those
that make for or create those things that will raise the
ideals of others. As the entity was instrumental in
preserving much in painting that has redowned [redound?] to
an influence in the earth, in the world, that has brought
hope to many, so may the application of self in this field of
activity by associations with others bring peace and joy and
happiness.
(Q) Under what teacher, if any, should she now study?
(A) With the present abilities, the removal of those
influences that have been considered as ideal, turn rather to
the meditating in self and visualization; materializing
through the painting that which comes from within self.
These should bring the greater influences. Not that the
entity is to work alone, but rather are the abilities for
Creative influences innate and active within self. And in
the application of self, and in that field of aiding others
in aiding themselves, will bring the greater joy.
(Q) Should my relationship with Leopold begun this summer be
re-opened, or left closed for his and my own best
development?
(A) Inasmuch as the associations with the entity in the
Grecian and Arabian influence brought consternation, and the
meeting of same in the present has made for conditions that
have not been for the best development or the abilities of
carrying out ideals, do not shun - but rather forget the
relationships.
(Q) Is there any other advice for this entity at this time?
(A) Study that which has been given thee, in the ways and
manners self may come to analyze self and self's desires and
self's ideals. Know that the ideals and desires must be
founded in spirit and in truth, if the fruits of these are to
bring contentment, peace, happiness, harmony, joy. For,
these are the fruits of an ideal well founded, and as the
study of same may be applied in the daily activities so will
there come joy, peace, understanding. An application in art
of the periods would be a WONDERFUL beginning, for self's
application of meditation and painting.
