TEXT

1. EC: Yes, we have the entity and those relations with the universe and the universal forces, that are latent and manifested in the personality of the present entity, [442].
2. In giving that which is impelling and yet helpful in the experiences of the entity in the present, as has been experienced by the entity, the application of will has caused many changes in the present experience; both through those things pertaining to material affairs and those things pertaining to mental and spiritual affairs.
3. Hence, soul development is in the application of will in the light of that which is felt within self respecting the Creative influences in the experience, as in defiance of - or in conjunction with - the desires of the body.
4. Hence we find there has been in the experience of the entity an alteration from that which would be given wholly or solely from the activities that would APPEAR impelling from astrological influences. Hence a purely astrological chart of the entity's life would mean or represent comparatively little of a constructive nature in the entity's present life. Yet the sojourns in the varied environs of the entity will give a background for the entity of the impelling influences that have been in the present experience, and through which those influences in the mental may aid in further development of the entity in the present experience.
5. The impelling influences of Jupiter have made for the breadth of vision in the body, the abilities to contact influential individuals in the mental and material realms of activity. And the ASSOCIATION in the present with such has made for an advancement in the mental and soul forces of the entity. In the present experiences these have brought recently conditions that have been questioned at times within self, yet with those influences that have made for the application of that which is impelling from the sojourn of the entity in Uranus, the applications of those forces of the occult have answered many of those questions that have disturbed the body at times as to the position, the activity, the relationships of individuals.
6. From Mars there have been rather the aspects that have made for conditions that have at times disturbed the body. Not in wrath, but rather in INDIFFERENCE to conditions or things going on about the body from the MENTAL realm; rather inclined to make for at times the consideration of material conditions and, especially, those that analyze themselves as questionable affairs in the activities of men, groups or conditions. Hence much of the data has at times in the experience been very well, but "What would others say were I to embrace or to act upon such a thought?" The development in the experience has been to use will's influence in these directions, and that which has been builded in self-development in the present relationships to the mental influences by the sojourns of the entity.
7. As to the activities through the appearances in the earth and their influence in the more material activity of the entity:
8. Before this we find the entity was in the land of the present nativity, during those periods when there were the settlings in the land and when there were those treaties being made with the natives of the land.
9. The entity was among the first of those peoples to make for such relations that pertain to the rights of individuals' activities, [Quakers?] during that sojourn. Or, as would be termed in the present, the entity was a judge or a justice of the peace - between natives, between relationships that were established with the individuals in other climes.
10. Hence those things that pertain to the relationships of groups, nations, states, have been and are of particular interest in the activities of the entity in the present experience.
11. The name then was Hastings, and the entity gained in the experience through the application of self. And there still may be found in that land, near the old charter oak, [1/08/34 See wife's rdg. 443-3, Par. 31-A saying it was called both oak and elm] much that Thomas [GD's note: His first name in this incarnation was also Thomas.] Hastings had to do with, as related to activities of the peoples of that period.
12. Before this we find the entity was in that period that has been such an influence in the experience of the entity in the present; the land now known as the Persian or Arabian, during those periods when many were gathering to a teacher in the land.
13. As the city was builded and peoples gathered far and near for the teachings, the healings, the aidings for the people, the entity was rather not as an adherent to the cause, but was first one of those who took advantage of the developments or the conditions. In THIS the entity lost, but when there had come those relationships - that are so close in the present experience [See 443-1 indicating this refers to [443]] of the entity - that brought a better understanding of those tenets that were being given by this leader Uhjltd in the experience, the entity aided in establishing relationships with others that had to do with the exchange for commodities in varied lands, that carried with same much of that which aided in spreading the news of the help that was given through the tenets and - as may be termed - philosophies of the day. The name then was Said-al.
14. The present experience has been much as of that period. Not that only the material has influenced the activities, but rather there has been the questioning of self as to whether the authorities that gave out those things pertaining to spiritual things were THEMSELVES spiritual.
15. As the associations were in that experience, there has been brought the knowledge to the entity that - as of old - "Others may do as they may, but as for me and my house, we must serve a living God; not of material things, not of stone, houses or lots, moneys or positions; but may the world judge my relationships to that I worship as the Creative influence in my experience by my OWN activities." [Rephrasing of Joshua 24:15]
16. Before this we find the entity was in that land known as the Peruvian, during those experiences when there was the establishing of the customs and laws as related to the peoples that sojourned there from the upheavals in the land of Atlantis; for the entity was among those that journeyed hither, in the name Ilt-ale. In that activity the entity was of the household of the RULERS and the BELIEVERS in the experience. For, the law of ONE was adhered to by Ilt-ale.
17. And in establishing the relationships with those people in Og, as called then, the entity aided in building up that which was the foundation of a later very much perverted activity by those from Mu and by those from the promised land. Yet, during the entity's experience, an advancement was made.
18. Hence in the present may be seen the entity's interests or abilities, lying in the ability to establish relationships in the varied lands, varied countries, varied positions; and to these abilities as gained there may the entity turn in the quieter moments of self. And it would be well that many another individual in authority or position turn to the entity as related to the economic influences that may be applied in individual life in the present experience, and the turmoils that are arising in many.
19. As to the abilities of the entity in the present, and that to which it may attain, and how:
20. As has been seen, the entity has excelled oft in the establishing of relationships between individuals and groups. This may apply whether in those fields of activity having to do with the commercial field as related to commerce and its exchange, or with the relationships of individuals and their activity with groups and associations. Yet, for SELF development, there must come rather the turning within and knowing in whom and in what the ideals of self are set; and satisfying self as to whether that standard, that ideal, is able to withstand all the trials, all the temptations, all the hindrances that arise, yet turning to those influences within may the entity find that there is an established way through which self may approach even the thrones of grace, through the Advocate that is set in Him that prepared the way. For, the spirit is willing, the flesh is weak. Yet, as the self attunes self to the activities of Spirit, there may come that satisfaction that not only builds for contentment but brings beauty, harmony, joy, and a life worth while.

22. (Q) What is the purpose of my expression in this life? Why am I here?
    (A) As has been seen through activities in various portions, there were detrimental influences active in the life or association of the entity. For SELF-development, and SELF-expression - then - in THIS experience.
23. (Q) Should I again work and express myself, and through what channels, or should I leave myself free for inner development?
    (A) Ever is it better that each soul develop within, but to shut self within and not give out is to become stagnant in self. For, in the giving out does a soul expand. For, He thought it not robbery to be equal with God; yet learned He obedience through pouring out of Himself that others through Him might approach that Throne. For, from the beginning souls were given the privilege to manifest in materiality for the expression of themselves, in knowing the relationships to the Creator or the One Spirit. So is man, then, ever in that field of being a channel, an emissary, for that he worships as his god. May that god ever be the Lord, God of Hosts His name is ONE!
24. (Q) Suggest a plan for this inner development and the correct expression of the results of this development to others.
    (A) As we may find, through these channels there has come that which is a step-by-step for self-development; then first in learning to Cooperate, in Knowing Self, in setting the Ideal and following in the lines of those thoughts does self-expression come; in knowing the Oneness of the Father, in Love. And then there will be within self the IMPELLING to make known the joys of life. For, as He has said, "My yoke is easy, my burden is light," to THOSE that have seen the light. To those that are in darkness, they are crosses, they are burdens, they are stumblingstones. Yet, finding self, find self-expression in same - and give. Even as it has been given unto you, measure ye unto the sons of men. DARE to do that as the conscience leads thee to do.
25. (Q) Why have I been directed for work or earthly expression and material accomplishment, and has this direction been correct?
    (A) Been correct in the greater part. When there has been studied from that presented, the accomplishments of the physical body with material associations and aids, it will be seen how, where and when influences have brought the development; not only of self but of those about the people that are being born into the activities of the affairs of the world in the present. Hence again would there be given, "Seek and ye shall find." Know in whom thou hast believed, knowing He is able to keep that thou committest unto Him against any experience or troubles in thy life. Show thyself APPROVED unto Him, divining the words of truth, keeping self unspotted from the world.

1. He requested Life Reading 442-1, submitting questions, saying his wife, [443], had been interested in psychic matters for years but EC's work was the first that had aroused his deep interest. [His son had obtained a Life Reading yesterday - see 440-1.]

REPORTS

1. 11/15/33 P.M. His wife, Mrs. [443], obtained her Life Rdg., 443-1, indicating past close relationships.
2. 1/08/34 Wife's rdg. 443-3, Par. 20-A advised that [442] go rather slow in psychic development (and in use of Dr. Paul E. Cold's etheronic instrument for healing), for he would be "too impulsive to carry on rather than step by step, line by line. Not bad, if the activity is slow enough." Also, 443-3, Par. 21-A advised that the "Astrological forces" would "at the next change" make for an easier channel for [442], etc., if used aright.
3. 1/10/34 Son's rdg. 440-12, Par. 35-A advised that the next astrological change [as referred to in 443-3, Par. 21-A in re [442]] would make for a "period when the mental activities become accentuated for love and for breadth of activity."
4. 1/17/34 He obtained his Physical Reading, 442-2. See 442-2, Par. 31-A advising that Dr. Paul E. Cold's establishment of [442]'s cosmic number as number 9 was too low, etc.

6. 2/28/34 Miss [275]'s letter: "Mr. [442]'s seal will fit nicely to Mrs. [443]'s. The circle is divided into 4 parts. A sunset on the left; a sunrise on the right; a radiating gold and white halo with OHM in the center of it, on the top; and a radiating silver chalice with a white and gold dove just alighting it, on the bottom. What the circle means in the center I do not yet know; but when I color it I have to make the outside a light purple, shading it darker towards the center, so that the center is dark purple. I can guess what it means, but I won't write anything yet."
7. 5/30/35 "I am off the day after tomorrow to join Mrs. [443] in Calif., as she is not as well as I would like and she wants the warmth and sunshine there. I doubt if we return East before Oct."
8. 7/07/35 Son [440] wrote that his parents, [442] and [443], were getting a divorce.
9. 7/19/35 See son's rdg. 440-20, Par. 13-A advising that the question as to whether the divorce was the best for all concerned "must be ans'd by those that are parties to same. From one angle, yes. From another, no. Then they must be ans'd in the experience of each."
10. 1/20/38 Mrs. [255]'s ltr: "Mr. [442] is having an exhibition of his water colors this wk. and next. I am looking forward to seeing them and him."
11. 6/27/39 He referred Mrs. [1941] for a Physical Rdg.
12. 8/77 His daughter, Mrs. [499], stated that both her parents had died in the 1940's; she volunteered the fact that Mr. [442] had been also an artist and an architect.
