(Q) Will you outline a diet for the body?
(A) This, as indicated, should be of those properties that
are nerve and blood building, without making for the
conditions that would become objectionable or obtrusive in
the active forces in the body itself.
This, then, would be as an outline, though altered to meet
the requirements or the needs or the tastes; for one that has
been accustomed to or has built a habit of such customs must
be gradually changed, else detrimental conditions might arise
from same:
Mornings - principally citrus fruit juices and, for this
body, preferably mixed rather than any one; or stewed fruits
or fresh fruits, but not these and the citrus fruit at the
same meal. At times there may be taken coddled egg,
preferably only the yolk, and small portions of very crisp
bacon, with brown bread - preferably toasted. Any of these,
but not all at once, for it would be most too much.
Noons - preferably altogether RAW vegetables. Celery,
lettuce, tomatoes, carrots, peppers, spinach, any or all of
these may be used with oil or mayonnaise - whichever is the
more preferable to the body.
Evenings - occasionally onions, raw and cooked, with the
cooked vegetables, and with the meats preferably - if taken -
of fish or fowl or lamb. Not other meats, unless these are
objectionable - and if objectionable, any of these, learn to
eat them, for they are much better for the body.
(Q) Any other suggestions for this body at this time, or for
those who are treating the body?
(A) Remember that given. There is a privilege, there is a
duty, in each. Many might ask, or self might ask, why such
conditions came into the experience of either those that must
minister or those that must wait. That ye may know the
better the acceptable year, the acceptable day, of the Lord.
We are through.

REPORTS
4/30/34 Mr. [
448]'s reply to EC's letter of inquiry
(dictated to his son):
Your kind letter of the 20th at hand. In replying must say
that there have been no results from the treatments.
Weather conditions and all seemed against me, the weather
being so cold that to lie stripped for the massage was a
little too much. We could not continue the use of the
battery as ice became too expensive and our funds were too
low. The vibrator was not obtained as I did not feel safe in
using it on the back without better instructions as to the
places where to use it.
These instructions we could not get as there was no way to
see a doctor for them. If there had been the improvement as
stated there would be I could have gotten someone to have
helped me financially. But as there seemed to be no
improvement I could not.
To say I am disappointed mildly expresses my feeling, for I
had faith that I was to be helped but somewheres it did not
work. Surely we did our part. Mrs. [...], without
complaining, did her share although it was very hard on her
eyes. But as the old colored lady said "I must have sinned
not to be helped."
However, I must be contented with my lot, as it is. It is
too bad I cannot write you of a full cure.
5/05/34 EC wrote offering to give another rdg. to see why
results had not been obtained.
