(Q) Which of the McFadden sanitariums would you suggest?
(A) There's only one that is the McFadden-Deauville, -
that's Miami Beach.
Do these, if we would bring the bettered conditions for this
body, [
454].
In the diet, we find that light wines may be added
occasionally; but none of carbonated waters. The wines would
be taken only as foods, and no strong drinks.
We are through with this Reading.

BACKGROUND
See
454-1 on
1/14/30, her first and only other Physical Rdg.
2/11/41 She phoned [via Mr. [
257]] for a Ck. Physical Rdg.
saying she was confined to her home and wanted advice from
the rdg. as to best health procedure to follow.
Her letter of
3/15/41, following
454-8, indicated she had a
painful cracked rib at the time of 454-7, also that she had
taken the "necessary x-ray treatments after my operation."
Could it be that she was also recuperating from the breast
amputation at the time of 454-7?
REPORTS
2/22/41 Friend Mr. [
257]'s letter: "[
454] asked me to write
to you and see if you could not give her a better description
of her condition and in more detail. She is following the
Reading just the same. She will be home Tuesday A.M., but
wire her at her home. She goes to the doctor for her
treatments at eleven. I am sorry the Reading was so short
and the questions not answered, as I want to get her interest
again and thru her [
3752]'s. He is very interested in
psychic matters. I know these things happen, but I hope it
will be the usual detailed Reading so it will be more
convincing. She has five or six doctors and none seem to
know what causes the condition. Please send me a copy so I
can check up promptly. I didn't get her copy until today."
Mr. [
257] submitted questions which included the following:
"What has caused this condition. When did it start? Since
she cannot travel, who is best doctor in N.Y. to treat her?
What is best tr. to take in N.Y.? Why are these particular
things given? What foods should she eat daily? What effect
does Jerusalem artichoke have on body? How can they be
cooked to be palatable? What liqueurs or wines are good or
bad for the body? What exercise can and should she take
daily to build back her resistance? Should high colonics be
taken? If so, how often and how much water? Should she
continue to be strapped up around rubs? Should massages be
given? If so, with what and how often? Explain why
metabolism is affected."
