12/13/33 Memo to the mother by GD: (Notations, in case
you decide to follow reading suggestions)
Dr. Richardson is in sympathy with our work; that is, he has
followed the reading instructions on many cases and has
always gotten wonderful results by treating according to the
reading. By all means, if you decide to follow the reading,
I would recommend that you let him take the case. Dr. M. L.
Richardson, Bankers Trust Bldg., Norfolk.
The wet cell battery treatments (to start about a week after
the osteopathic treatments are begun) may be given at home.
You may make the attachments each evening as the child
retires or goes to sleep. I believe Miss Wynne (Miss Esther
Wynne, 2709 Lafayette Blvd., Norfolk) can manage to procure
one of these batteries for you. If so, it should be sent to
Mr. Gray Salter, Route 2, Box 20, Hopkinsville, Ky., so that
it may be gotten in proper shape for use in this case. Each
battery is prepared for the individual case and is applied in
an entirely different manner. If Miss Wynne cannot secure
one for you, I would suggest that you rent one from Mr.
Salter by the month - as I think to buy the complete battery
of this type would be about $20.00, though I'm not sure. You
can write and get full particulars from Mr. Salter. In
either case he should see that the battery is in shape for
your particular use, as I'm sending him a copy of that part
of the reading recommending the battery - so he will know
just what is necessary in this case.
If there is anything you do not understand about the whole
treatment, be sure to get in touch with us - for what we want
to do is help you get results. Our whole purpose in this
work is to be of help whenever and wherever possible. GD
P.S. I have made an extra copy of the reading for you to
take to Dr. Richardson, so that he may study it in connection
with his own diagnosis and treatment.
Please let us keep in touch with you. GD
4/18/34 EC wrote asking if they were following the treatment
and if there was anything further he could do to help.
7/20/36 See
466-2, requested by mother to see if the
treatment would be the same; she had not been able to follow
the first rdg. because of uncooperative attitude of her
husband, but now she was determined to manage somehow to
carry out the treatment on her own responsibility.
