This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach ,Va., this 14th day of December, 1933, in accordance with request made by self - Mrs. [468] new Associate Member of the Ass'n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc., recommended by Mrs. [760].

TEXT

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [468].
2. As we find, conditions physically are rather serious in the very nature of that which disturbs the better physical functioning of the body. And while there may be added that which will be helpful, it can only stay the inroads that are being made; and the advanced condition of the disturbance only means that there must eventually be created or be brought about more dire conditions.
3. These, then, are the conditions as we find them with this body, [468] we are speaking of:

The BLOOD SUPPLY indicates something of the character of the disorder that disturbs, and has disturbed, the physical organisms; and the carrying of these conditions as created by the form of disorder that not only destroys tissue but that produces disintegration in its manner of destroying same, the effect being to the organs of the pelvis and the attendant reactions are for the tendency to make for a great deal of physical suffering - as well as the reactions in the torso of the body, especially in the pelvis, with the peritoneum being involved in the inflammatory portions in the present.
5. As to the general reactions in the NERVE SYSTEM and in the ORGANS, there are the disturbances that come to all portions of the circulation through such a character or nature of disorder; or severe pains, by the swelling and the fluid that naturally forms in the abdominal area - in the attempt of the system to meet or to throw about the affected portions that which will guard the life forces in other portions in other organs, in other activities of the system.
6. The necessity for the use of that which will ease the general nerve strain, the pain and the activities, as we find, may be better found in a preparation in this manner than in hypnotics or narcotics; only three to four capsules may be prepared at a time containing these ingredients (in liquid). Put into each capsule the following:

   Oil of Eucalyptus.............1 minim,
Rectified Oil of Turp.......1/2 minim,
Canadian Balsam.............1/2 minim,
Codeine.....................1/8 grain.

7. One of these capsules taken internally each day will reduce the pain and aid in centralizing the condition in the system.
8. Also we would take, every other day, a quarter grain of the Animated or Carbon Ash; following same, in fifteen to twenty minutes, with the application of the violet ray over the upper portion of the dorsal area - or from the 10th and 11th dorsal to the base of the brain, or to the upper portion of the spinal system, for two to three minutes. This will not only tend to quiet the body, but allow the activities to be such as to aid in resuscitating vital forces and cutting off the tendency for spreading of the disorder in the lower portion of the system. It will cause a tendency for the drying of the affected portions, by the creation of more oxygen in the system.
9. Well that occasionally douches be taken to cleanse the organs where distresses are arising, and the breaking up of tissue. In such there should be used an alkaline antiseptic, that will tend to make for the cleansing; as, in a quart of tepid water put one to three drops of Lysol, or three to ten drops of Glyco-Thymoline.
10. Keep the body quiet, off of the feet as much as possible, even when there is the feeling of exhuberance in the system from the Ash (that will cause the drying) and from the tendency of the system or body to react to the properties that will keep down the pains.

12. (Q) What time of day is best for the Carbon Ash to be taken, and the capsule containing the other ingredients?
    (A) The Carbon Ash should be taken of mornings. The capsule with the other ingredients should be taken in the afternoon or evening.
    The douches should be taken when necessary; once or twice a day if it becomes necessary.
    Do this, and we will bring the better and the easing condition, and prolong the activities of the body, [468].
13. (Q) What produced this condition?
    (A) This would be a long story in itself. Irritation to the affected portions, and the injection of those influences that made for not only irritating but lacerations in the organs of the pelvis themselves.
14. (Q) Any other advice that will be of help to the body at this time?
    (A) These, as we find, from the physical standpoint, will be the better applications for the body.
    In the mental and spiritual, keep self in the attitude of knowing that that to be met within self is capable of being maintained within the spirit of righteousness, that there may be the better understanding and comprehension of SUFFERING in the material plane to meet those things that will cleanse the soul.

    Because of the Codeine, it will no doubt be necessary to get a physician to write the prescription for the capsules. I hope you will have no trouble in getting these prepared, for I'm sure they will aid a great deal.
    The Carbon Ash is manufactured by B. H. Bradley, 5443 Maryland Ave., Chicago, Ill., and distributed in $1.00 cartons. Ask for the quarter grain capsules. Do not take the Ash IN the capsule, but empty the powder on tongue and wash down with water. Then follow with the violet ray as directed.

BACKGROUND

1. 11/28/33 "I have been sick for about six months, was in a hospital in June. The doctor told me I had cancer of the uterus and bowels, and gave me only a short time to live. Fluid forms in the abdominal cavity causing great discomfort and for which I have been tapped 8 times. Mrs. [760] told my sister of a number of cases you had cured or relieved to a great extent, so that is why I'm anxious for you to help me."
