M 44 (Construction Engineer, Theosophist)

This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 15th day of December, 1933, in accordance with request made by self - Mr. [470], Active Member of the Ass'n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

Present: Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno.

Time and Place: 3:35 to 3:50 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Penna.
(Body and enquiring mind, and the Life Reading given for him through these sources in May 1925. He seeks knowledge and understanding as to the latent abilities within him to apply the electrical forces in a different manner to that which has been applied. You will advise if it is possible for him to bring out these abilities in the present life so that others may be benefitted; if so, the manner of life he should live in order to develop such latent abilities. Then you will answer the questions he has submitted, as I ask them.)

TEXT

  1. EC: Yes. We find there is latent in the entity the abilities for the application of electrical forces as related to those activities in which the body has been and is engaged; as to using these both in the disposal systems and in the fusing in furnace [GD's note: following "...fusing in furnace" EC said: "Watch what you are doing here!" and then continued with sentence] where these may be made in such manners as to be much more effective and much cheaper than those manners that have been heretofore used.
  2. Then, go to work on it!
  3. (Q) What form of meditation should I take up?
    (A) This would be an outline, that may be changed as the developments come. Set certain given periods that may be used each day, and this would be an example:
    MAY THERE BE IN AND THROUGH ME THAT WHICH WILL ENABLE ME, THROUGH THE ACTIVITIES, TO ACCOMPLISH THAT WHICH WAS OPENED FOR ME IN THE ACTIVITIES OF MY SOUL IN THOSE PERIODS WHEN SUCH APPLIANCES WHERE USED FOR THE BENEFITS OF INDIVIDUALS, GROUPS, MASSES.
  4. (Q) Is there any particular diet I should follow?
    (A) None other than that which is necessary for keeping an even balance in eliminations and building up of the influences for proper meditation; which is, as known, KEEPING an even balance.
  5. (Q) What books should I study, and their order of study?
    (A) Those of electrical applications to various forms of activity.
  6. (Q) Will the work I am now doing hinder me or help me in this endeavor?
    (A) Rather, as indicated, this should be used with the very applications that the entity is engaged in.
  7. (Q) Is it permissible for me to be given definite instructions on how to develop these faculties? If so, will you please give them?
    (A) First that should be begun. Then, as the ways are opened, there may be given that which will enable the body to accomplish this in that way and manner, see?
    For, to be sure, most of these may be applied in the present; that is, the application IN a more equitable, more economical manner, and more effective in making the fusions in the metals and the disposals.
  8. (Q) Would a study of any particular part of "The Secret Doctrine" [H. P. Blavatsky] be of benefit?
    (A) The study of any portion of same is of benefit, but only in so far as it will enable the self to open for that which may be given in its meditation.
    Commence, and then we may aid!
  9. (Q) Any other advice for the body at this time?
    (A) Do that.
