This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 20th day of September, 1937, in accordance with request made by the self - Mrs. [482], Member of the Ass'n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

TEXT

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [482]; this we have had before.
2. While there are many conditions that are very good, there are still those effects of those disturbances that have been indicated - of a hardening and the tendencies for ulcerations, or lacerations, in the stomach proper.
3. This, combined with the changes [menopausal?] that have been in effect upon the body, produces rather acute conditions.
4. While the strength is very good, there are weaknesses from the headaches, the pains in the stomach proper, especially in the left side. Whenever there is the tendency for the eliminations not to be in excess, or above normal, we find the pressure causes the acute distresses.
5. As we would find, it would require rather the consistent application as well as being persistent in the diets of or for the body.
6. First, we would use at least three times a week the Appliance that has been indicated for the body. This should be in good shape, however, so that the activities of the low electrical vibration - though it is to be short-circuited in the body, by the body when using putting the feet in water - will produce or aid in producing through the circulation a dissemination and the eliminations of the areas where the tendencies for hardening and ulcerations arise.
7. This would be attached, the one plate from both of the poles, to the 3rd and 4th dorsal center. This to be taken three times a week for at least thirty minutes.
8. We would have an occasional full gentle massage. This as we find given as a GENERAL rather than as specific adjustments would be the more preferable.
9. Then the diet: After each meal for at least three days a week, and have the three days in succession and not separate, take a quarter teaspoonful of Alcaroid.
10. We would also about once a week take half a teaspoonful of Milk of Bismuth with ten drops of Elixir of Lactated Pepsin stirred in a glass of water; taken of an evening just before retiring.
11. Then we would have occasionally, not too often but sufficiently to cleanse the colon and the activity sufficient to eliminate the disturbances or the inflammation as absorbed by the properties in the Bismuth and the other properties active upon the digestive system to eliminate same from the alimentary canal, the use of the colonic irrigations.
12. In the diet, keep well to a balanced diet; not too much acids but the vegetables - and these cooked not so much with meat. No fried foods at any time.
13. These kept consistently, we should find not only relief but great improvements in every manner.

15. (Q) Do I have a touch of neuritis?
    (A) Neuritis is an effect, and is from the accumulation of poisons as indicated disseminated through the system by the hardening or caking in cardiac portion of the stomach, or the left end of same.
    Do those things as indicated; as given, consistently, persistently.
    The Appliance is to be charged properly. The plates are to be kept clean. These are to be used about three times a week, thirty minutes; attached to the 3rd and 4th dorsal, the one plate; keeping the feet in the water - of course the water warm, not cold - during the period.
