This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 8th day of September, 1927, in accordance with request made by his mother.

Present: Edgar Cayce; Mrs. Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno. Mr. L. B. Cayce and Hugh Lynn Cayce.

TEXT

1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for the relief and improvement of the body, and you will answer the questions which I will ask you regarding same.
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here. This we have had before.
3. Now, we find many changes in the physical conditions since we had this here before. Some are for the better. Some are not so well.
4. The conditions are not good as regarding the physical conditions of this body, for we find there are those elements still producing disturbances in the whole of the mesenteric system. Not that same condition of the body in body, but rather the effects of the digested foods not being ASSIMILATED by the body. Poisons are accumulating then by non-elimination, and the system attempting to build on poisons. Hence there becomes those conditions as are seen that become acute through any congestion occurring in any portion of the body. Also those reflections are seen in the ductless glands and the organs as adjacent thereto, giving disturbance then in the throat and in the nasal cavity, by the lack of the blood being rich or sufficient to supply sufficient of the leukocyte to meet the needs of the destruction of the elements in system that should be eliminated.
5. Then, to meet the needs of the conditions at the present time, we would have sufficient of manipulations given - either massage, or masseur, or neuropath, or osteopath - GENTLY given - over the whole system, to produce stimulation to the excretory system; that is, through the capillary circulation and the lymphatic circulation, see?
6. Keep the body from too much sweets - though SUFFICIENT of sweets to form sufficient alcohol for the system; that is, the kind of sweets, rather than sweets. Grape sugars - hence jellies, or of that nature are well. Chocolates that are PLAIN - not those of any that carry corn starches should be taken, or those that carry too much of the cane sugar. Grape sugar, or beet sugars, or of that nature, may be taken.
7. More of beef juices, but JUICE - not the food itself, or the meat itself - and juices or soups of chicken or of wild game - and keep a constant elimination and stimulation through taking each day, for at least ten (10) days, Alophen pill.
8. (Q) One Alophen pill each day for ten days?
   (A) One Alophen pill each day for ten days, and every other day take a good dose of Castoria to move same out of the system. This is stimulation to circulation, stimulation to the whole of the mesenteric system, and stimulation to heart's action. WITH the manipulation, we will find these will rid the system of these conditions, and we will find much better appetite, and much better assimilation, and much better reaction for the body, [487].
9. (Q) What specific kind of chocolate - is Hershey's chocolate all right for the body?
   (A) Hershey's all right for the body PLAIN.
10. (Q) Was the pink tablets given, or rather the WORM medicine that was given several months ago, sufficient? and did it correct that condition?
    (A) Corrected in part. A portion of these conditions is what we are combating at present.
11. (Q) Not necessary, then, to give any more of that?
    (A) Not necessary to give any more of that. Keep up the stimulation for the circulation, else that condition in tonsils and nasal - or the adenoid - will give trouble, with congestion and cold. Hence the manipulation [EC recommended Dr. M. L. Richardson] and the stimulation through the medicinal properties, that ELIMINATE.
12. (Q) Should the manipulations be given how often?
    (A) Every day!
13. (Q) What will relieve the crick in the neck at present?
    (A) Time, and heat or relaxation to the body. This is congestion, and settles in one portion of the body as specifics through that condition as we have outlined here. Poor elimination, and a disturbed circulation. See, the pulsation is low - though sufficient in NUMBER, yet low to the capillary. Body is hard to make perspire unless it gets riled from inside. Do this as we have given.
14. We are through for the present.
