This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 15th day of April, 1938, in accordance with request made by the self - Mr. [487], Associate Member of the Ass'n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

Present: Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno. Mechanical Engr.

Time and Place: 3:50 to 3:55 P.M. Eastern Standard Time. Campus, Duke Univ.,. Lab., N.W. Cor. East. Durham, N. C.
(Physical Suggestion)

TEXT

  1. EC: Yes.
  2. As we find, the physical forces of the body are very good.
  3. There is the lack of the vitality and the vitamins necessary to make for the full development in weight and in activity.
  4. However, there should not be such changes or corrections as to make an unbalancing of the physical forces in the system.
  5. Hence we would in the present add a tonic or stimulant as in Codiron, which is a compound carrying cod liver oil, iron and the vitamins that will make for body-building and body- resistance as well as structural development throughout. This may be obtained from the Lawrence Laboratories, Chicago, Illinois. A dollar package should be sufficient. Take one tablet or pellet about once or twice a day.
  6. Drink more water; less carbonated waters but more pure water. Milk, ice cream or the like is very well. When carbonated waters or drinks are taken, either Dr. Pepper's or Coca-Cola may be taken; but let such as these be rather as an extra drink and not too regularly - and of Soft Drinks BEWARE.
  7. These as we find would be the better developments for the body.
  8. In the diet, keep to those foods that are body-building. When there IS the taxation through the physical exercise, have plenty of meats - fish, fowl, lamb and beef; but let all of these be WELL-DONE. Preferably not the fried foods.
  9. Plenty of vegetables should also be included.
  10. These as we find should bring for the body more weight, better resistance, and better activity throughout.
  11. Ready for questions.
  12. (Q) What causes the warts on the hand and how may they be removed?
    (A) This, as has been indicated, happens to most every individual in those periods of the change that comes about for glandular reaction; and it is the effect of the localizing of centers that attempt to GROW - as they do!
    As we find, they may be removed by touching same with a twenty percent (20%) solution of Hydrochloric Acid. But do not pick at them as the discoloration takes place, and as they begin to deteriorate! Rather let them wear off than pick at them, see? for such would allow too great a chance for infection by the irritating, and cause disturbance; otherwise they will disappear. In touching them with the Acid it is preferable to use either a glass pestle (that is, a small round piece of glass) or a broomstraw.

  2. GD's memo: The patient sent $1 to the address given [He phoned his local druggist who said he had never heard of Codiron, that it must be a new product, and received the Codiron bearing this label:

  4. 4/29/38 "Have been taking Codiron regularly but haven't noticed whole lot of difference in any way. Have been feeling fine, may be a little 'peppier', appetite good (never was anything wrong with it). If gain any weight will let you know - imagine will take some time. I feel good, maybe better than used to but don't remember 'feeling bad' any time before. No change in warts - do seem to be cracking up a little - probably take quite a while to get then off, as they are so large. It has already taken off two small ones and stopped another that was just starting."
  5. 8/12/38 See 487-23 for boil on back (from infected mosquito bite).
  6. 12/38 He reported that his warts were all gone except one and that he had gained several pounds in weight.
  7. 1/18/39 "The wart on my hand (last one) is slowly disappearing."
