This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 23rd day of March, 1944, in accordance with request made by the son - Mr. [412], Active Member of the Ass'n for Research and Enlightenment, Inc.

TEXT

1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time with suggestions for further corrective measures, answering the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes; we have had the body here before.
3. As indicated, the occasional sweats with the massage and osteopathic adjustments, the setting up of better eliminations through the alimentary canal will keep the body in a better condition; eliminating tiredness and headaches and the greater expression of other distresses.
4. Do not take the osteopathic treatments without the sweats and the increasing of the eliminations. We would increase the eliminations by varying the character of eliminants taken. One time we would take a vegetable compound entirely, one having a senna base, while the next week we would take a mineral laxative. These should be alternated to prevent these activities becoming necessary.
5. The sweats we would have once in ten days or once in ten weeks.
6. The osteopathic adjustments we would have every week for at least six to eight to ten weeks, then a rest period, and then again.
7. Ready for questions.
8. (Q) What causes stiffness in shoulder and neck?
   (A) The toxic poisons that will be aided by increasing the eliminations through the respiratory and perspiratory system and through alimentary canal.
9. (Q) What causes indigestion?
   (A) Lack of proper flow of digestive fluids, or in the lacteals. The cleansing of the fecal forces from the system in the manners indicated will aid in this respect.
10. (Q) Make suggestions for diet, what is to be avoided and what is to be eaten?
    (A) Keep well balanced; not too much starch, nor too much proteins, but a well balanced diet.
11. (Q) May I drink coffee?
    (A) Once a day would not be harmful for the body, best of morning.
12. (Q) What causes the feeling of a cold coming on in nose and head, but never developed?
    (A) Lack of proper eliminations through the lymph circulation. Hence as indicated the treatments for the perspiratory system, or mild sweats; not being too heavy on heart, but these are necessary to set up better stimulation through the whole system.
13. (Q) Are the sinuses infected?
    (A) There are those congestions because of the lack of circulation. Thus the character of treatments indicated.
14. (Q) What causes night mares and lack of sleep?
    (A) Toxic forces or poisons in the system.
15. (Q) Is blood pressure normal for body?
    (A) The blood pressure varies. It is a little above normal.
16. (Q) Is anything wrong with heart?
    (A) Nothing wrong other than that which may be aided in being corrected through the character of applications suggested for the body.
17. (Q) Must orthopedic [osteopathic] treatments be continued to keep blood pressure normal and how often?
    (A) Osteopathic treatments should keep the blood pressure near normal.
18. (Q) Is Dr. West [Harold C. West, D.O.] 64 Ludlow Street, Yonkers, giving treatments correctly?
    (A) These are very good but there should be the sweats at least one in ten days added to the treatments.
19. (Q) What causes swelling of knee?
    (A) Toxic poisons in the body, the lack of proper eliminations through alimentary canal.
    Do as given and we will bring better conditions.
