This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 6th day of November, 1935, in accordance with request made by the self - Miss [501], Associate Member of the Ass'n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

TEXT

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here; this we have had before.
2. In some respects conditions are not so well. While there have been the tendencies for the inflammations in the system to become the natures as pus forming, and their accentuations coming to a head by separation would indicate, however, that the resistances in the system have been and are being kept very well in advance of the disturbing factors. But to eliminate the causes that tend to make for this separation, or for this inflammation to arise through the functioning of the organs and the throwing OFF of poisons, as it were, through the system, that should be eliminated through their normal or regular channels, indicates that some SPECIFIC conditions should be considered in the activities for this body.
3. We find in the lungs those congestions that arise, the tendencies for the inflammation to become more and more of the nature that prevents the full coordination of the system as to oxidize or to carry sufficient oxygen to purify the blood. This makes for one of the contributory causes, as to how or where the strep in the blood supply finds its way through portions of the system. Thus there is caused this continual warring between body-BUILDING and the destructive forces or influences in the inflammation indicated in the body.
4. Then, as we find, in the present we would add in the system these:
5. We would begin with the small amount of the Animated Ash; this to be taken daily for a period of at least three or four weeks. Then have a rest period from same of a week to ten days, and then begin again. Take one-eighth grain internally each day, dry on tongue and washed down with a swallow of water. Do not take IN the capsule.
6. Three to five minutes after each dose of the Animated Ash has been taken, we would use the plain violet ray hand machine - directly on the body over both the frontal and back portion of the lung area, for three to four minutes. Then use it over the liver area and the caecum area for another minute or minute and a half. Use the hand violet ray, with the bulb applicator.
7. Also we would be very mindful that the diet is blood and body-building; as milk - if it is so that it agrees with the body. This, as we find, will be found necessary to be changed occasionally. That is, not the raw milk; but of evenings prepare same in this way: Let the raw milk come to a boil, just come TO the boil, see? Or to a quart of same add, before it is boiled - or as it is put on to boil, two teaspoonsful of strained honey. As soon as it boils over ONCE, take off. Drink while warm, not hot. Stir or change from one container to another to cool somewhat. Drink while it is warm.
8. Malted milk with egg occasionally will be found to be helpful; this would be preferably in the morning, while the milk with the honey would be just before retiring.
9. Taken in this manner we find that it will not be constipating.
10. Use the Psyllium as a weight for the system through the alimentary canal, rather than those things that produce such roughage as brans or the like; this will be found to be much preferable for this body.
11. Once a week we would have a general MASSAGE, but let the massage FOLLOW the body being HEATED as in a sweat bath - or by the body being wrapped in a blanket that is wet or VERY hot, so that the moisture of the body is brought to activity, so that poisons are eliminated through the perspiratory system.
12. After such a sweat, it would be well that the massage be with oils - along the limbs and over various portions of the system for stimulating the whole of the respiratory system - combined in this manner:
13. To 4 ounces of Russian White Oil as the base, we would add (in the order named):

    Olive Oil.........................1 ounce,
Witchhazel........................2 ounces,
Compound Tincture of Benzoin......1 ounce,
Oil of Cedar Wood...............1/2 ounce.

    Shake these ingredients well together when they are to be used, for they will tend to separate when standing; but keep same on hand in a quantity. Pour a small quantity in an open container and massage into the body just what it will absorb.
14. In the diet keep those foods that are body-building, especially the vegetable and fruit diets.

16. (Q) What caused the badly swollen and festered condition on roof of mouth?
    (A) As indicated, the strep in the blood supply through poor eliminations.
17. (Q) Is that swallowed pus likely to harm my system?
    (A) Unless kept eliminated, to be sure. This may be done by keeping an antiseptic through the body itself, preferably an antiseptic of an alkalin nature which will tend to purify, of course - as Glyco-Thymoline; two to three drops in a glass of water once or twice a day. This will be very, very helpful.
18. (Q) How can I gain in resistance against the cold?
    (A) As outlined.
19. (Q) In what condition are my teeth?
    (A) In great need of attention, locally.
20. (Q) What is the condition of heart?
    (A) As may be indicated from the increase in the circulation owing to those activities, we have rather an exaggerated condition; at times fast, at other times very slow. These come from the changes in the lung's activity, the liver and those congestions in the body.
21. (Q) Do Avocado pears contain much iron and copper, and are they good for anemia?
    (A) They are good for anemia. They contain most iron. Pears are helpful to ANYONE, especially where body and blood building influences are needed; for they will be absorbed. These are best to be taken morning and evening; not through the active portions of the day.

3. 10/31/35 "Because I was expecting to hear from you I did not go to a physician for relief. Now, after 3 wks., the worst is over, but as I sent the ck. and you have set the date, we will leave it at that. However, I would like to add: What is condition of lungs? What is condition of heart?"

REPORTS

1. 11/24/35 "Although my abscess in the roof of my mouth had finally after 3-4 wks. contracted, it was interesting to me to receive my rdg. Yes, I can understand that the rdg. recognized the true condition of my system and the treatments ought to, and I sincerely hope will, have good results... I wish I had asked about kidneys, as my urine for the past 6 wks. has been colorless and has sediments."
2. 11/29/35 EC's letter: "The change in eliminations should cause the urine to clear a great deal, and is possibly the reason no mention was made of the effect in that direction at present. Try it at least, and if it does not clear will ask a specific question."
