8/26/60 Reply to Questionnaire:
Enclosed is check for $2.00 which is for the two readings -
524-1 and 524-2 sent to me on August 19, 1960.
I was very much interested in the readings and I remembered
two things told me by Edgar Cayce at the time of the reading.
Especially about the experience when I was known as Hester
Lytton and in the field of a seamstress (
524-1, Par. 12).
Also about the leader who brought cleansing and purifying
of my mind - and there was brought contentment and peace
and harmony into the experience of Usla that made for great
soul development during that sojourn (
524-1, Par. 16).
It seems that the two experiences mentioned above have been
in my mind these many years and I have often felt that they
made for greater soul development. It does make me wonder
sometimes as I have often felt that my past experiences have
kept me from doing the wrong things in this life. I felt
that I have been through it before and will not waiver in
doing the right things or from doing good that will make for
greater spirituality.
What interested me also was that the name Ruth nee Linda
appeared under the Reading and at bottom of
524-1, Par. 1
it says - Evidently the name Ruth had not been registered
at birth but had been assumed later. This is true as my
name was changed from Linda to Ruth at the time of my
adoption. I can remember so clearly my foster father looking
through the Bible for a name for me and decided on the name
of Ruth. At birth my name was Linnie Elizabeth and on the
adoption papers it read Linda.
Thank you for your invitation to come to Virginia Beach.
I will be happy to do so whenever I have some spare time.
My husband, Dr. [...] and I were blessed with four sons.
The sons are all married, the last one married on July 8,
1960. We have three grandchildren now and many times we
we fill the role of baby sitters. We were blessed in having
two girls for grandchildren and one boy grandchild.
In 524-2, Par. R1, Mr. [
436]'s ltr.: "I like [
524]'s
husband, Dr. [...] (a chiropractor). He seems to be very
well-balanced and she needs someone like him."
I would like to say concerning the above that it is very true
in every respect. My husband was just right for me. We have
lived in peace and harmony for 26 years and I believe the
marriage was to be. At first I thought he was too old for me
but it would never have worked out if I had married anyone
younger. We feel that we have lived a full life together. I
feel that I had to be adopted in order to meet my husband.
My brothers and sisters were all kept together and I was the
only one who was adopted. My father tried to get me back but
I had already been adopted so there was nothing they could
do. It makes me wonder sometimes, why? But then I know that
I had to fulfill a mission and that mission was my husband
and our four sons.
