9/27/76 Letter received from [
526] re: her reading which
was sent to her upon request September 10, 1976:
"First, I want to thank you and Miss Cayce for sending me
a copy of the reading 526-1 done for me by Edgar Cayce March
25, 1934. Miss Cayce asked me if I would write and give
you any 'feedback' I could about my reading. I have been
thinking about it and I will try to give you some impressions
I have, though they are not perhaps what you might want.
I should start out by saying that the language and also
much of what is said in the reading is confusing to me.
But I will do the best I can.
I was going through at that period of my life a very
difficult and significant year. Against strong wishes
of my family whom I loved very much and had been exceedingly
close to, perhaps too close, I had left my home with them
and gone to N.Y. to work. I, by chance, lived with a very
wonderful lady, no kin, Mrs. [
509].
526-1, Par. 4 - 'of a nervous temperament': I've never
thought of myself as having a nervous temperament - and
I don't think others have considered I had this trait.
My husband of 42 years says he doesn't. On the other hand,
I am not phlegmatic in temperament.
526-1, Par. 10, 11: I have had very satisfying and
fulfilling Quaker connections, particularly during a period
of about ten to twelve years, in the '50's and early '60's
when I was located accessibly to a 'congenial' meeting house
and Friends Service group. I never became a member, however,
because I felt it was important for us to remain as a unit
as members of a local church in which our young daughter was
active.
526-1, Par. 12: I have never had the slightest interest in
the culinary arts - my aim has been to have simple food,
well prepared with the least effort involved.
526-1, Par. 17, 25: These paragraphs are the ones in the
reading which say the most to me.
526-1, Par. 29-A: 'Marriage with right association would
be fulfilling...with the wrong badly.' Four days before
the time of the reading I became engaged to the man I've
been most happily married to for over 42 years. I have
realized that marriage with the wrong man would have been
unworkable for me. I hope, if I have any future
incarnations, I'll be lucky enough again to be married to
him!
I hope that these are the types of comments you wanted..."
Sincerely, [
