5/11/34 Letter from EC to Mr. [
442]: "...About a month ago
we gave a reading for a lady [
532] from ..., Virginia, who
had just heard about the readings; in fact, she had several
years ago attempted to get into our hospital but was refused
admittance just at the time it was being closed. She had
been assured by her doctors that nothing could be done. The
treatment suggested in the reading was not so severe, but had
to be rather persistent. We were surprised night before last
when she called on the phone said she was at the Beach and
was coming by. We could hear her talking as they drove up
in front, and she literally bounced out of the car. I met
her at the door, and as she came up the steps she said, 'You
know they almost had to bring me in the last time; I just
want to show you how well I'm getting along. I can walk
up the steps by myself; I feel better, and know I'm getting
well!' It's simply a marvelous thing..."
5/16/34 Letter from Mrs. [
532]: "...Because I would not
take my Atomidine from 3 to 5 drops, and take liver extract
for my osteopath, he had so much to say about it on last
Tuesday A.M. I was compelled to ask him not to return until
I called him. When I found he (Dr. [...]) would not do as I
preferred it made me ill. I am in bed since Tuesday A.M. I
suffered the worst cry I have had for months. Dr. [...] put
me back where I was five weeks ago. I almost lost every hope
I had. I told him I just could not take anything until you
said so (meaning my reading). I am so weak I can't enjoy
sitting up. In the beginning I thought he was trying to
follow my reading. I will not be able to come down before
May 26, on which I hope to have a reading. I will drop
you a line. See if Miss Davis can read this for you.
I am ashamed of such a letter, but I am not equal to any
better now..."
5/18/34 EC wrote Mrs. [
532] an encouraging letter about
experiences doctors in various parts of the country had
had in following out the readings.
5/22/34 GD wrote Mrs. [
532] that she had just received word
from Hopkinsville that the Radio Active Appliance had been
mailed to her. GD included a list of body-building and
blood-building foods which she had copied from a diet book.
