(Q) Please suggest such predigested foods as would be well
for the body, when these may be taken.
(A) First we would take principally fruit juices; such as
orange juice with a little lemon - four parts orange juice to
one part lemon; grapefruit juice, grape juice, pineapple
juice. The pineapple may be combined with the grape juice,
if it is preferable.
Then we would begin a little later, in a day or two days,
with very browned whole wheat bread, with a little Ovaltine,
a little malted milk - the egg may be beat in same, only the
yolk of the egg. Junket, arrowroot, and things of such
natures. These should be for three to four days, and then
begin with soups - as of wild game, potato soup, or cracker
soup, and things like that.
Through all the period, then, be mindful that the whole of
the intestinal system is kept open.
(Q) Are the adhesions breaking loose any better than they
were?
(A) They are not better than they were; they are in a worse
condition at the present time! Because this telescoping,
it's very HARD on the system, and very PAINFUL through these
areas. Hence the NECESSITY, as it were, of straightening
these by the dilation and ELIMINATION of all through the
colon area.
Keep down the inflammation by alcohol rubs; preferably grain
alcohol though rub alcohol may be used.
(Q) Any other advice?
(A) These we would do, and begin to do at once.
Use a soft tube for the colon tube, that opens on the side
rather than on end.
(Q) And the Castoria should be begun at once?
(A) Be begun at once; small doses. Quarter teaspoonful
taken every half hour is better than half or a whole
teaspoonful taken every hour or hour and a half apart. The
desire is to have the absorption to reduce temperature, as
WELL as cause the eliminations throughout. You see, there's
a clogging that has caused the overshadowing of the
conditions.
We are through for the present.

BACKGROUND
See
533-1 on 4/34 for ileitis;
533-5 on
6/17/35 for colitis.
9/28/35 His brother requested emergency rdg. for [
533],
saying he was suffering acutely with a gastrointestinal
attack, with a high fever, etc.
REPORTS
The family reported next day that the treatment relieved the
patient at once, after the first round of applying the
suggested methods, and thus dangerous complications were
prevented.
10/35 A.R.E. Bulletin carried a report of [
533]'s and two
other similar gastrointestinal disorders.
11/06/35 See
533-7 for recuperative measures. While relieved,
he was still not strong or well enough to get out of bed.
