Be mindful that white bread, potatoes, spaghetti, macaroni
are not taken at the same meal; any two of these at the same
meal. Not that they are to be left off entirely, but not
combined together. Beware of too great quantities of sweets.
The sweets that are taken should be principally honey,
preferably in the honeycomb. The small fruits, or fruits of
all characters as the season advance, are well. Beware of
raw apples, though cooked apples are well. Pears, plums,
peaches and the like - these may be taken with the cereals
either raw or cooked. Any of those that carry a good deal of
iron - as grapes or raisins or prunes or the like - are very
good.
Do these as we find for the body in the present.
Ready for questions.
(Q) When he is able to walk around, would an abdominal belt
help any?
(A) Would be very well.
(Q) Are both raw and cooked vegetables good for him?
(A) Very good if they are prepared properly, and well
masticated.
(Q) Any further advice?
(A) Do these in the material.
In the mental and spiritual, be more constructive and not too
passive - or not too positive in unconstructive ways. Not
that the attitude is so destructive, but it should not be so
active in UNCONSTRUCTIVE ways! In other words, do not be so
pessimistic. Be more optimistic; always.
We are through for the present.

5/12/37 Mother [
1409]'s letter: "I hate to ask for another
rdg. for [
533], but it seems like I can't get him up on his
feet again. I would appreciate so much if you would give him
another ck. rdg. At times his side hurts him so much he
can't stand on his feet long. I would be so glad if you
would let me know what to do for him."
REPORTS
5/27/37 Mother [
1409]'s letter indicating that [
533] was back
at work: "We all know that if it hadn't been for Mr. Cayce's
readings our [
533] would have been dead, and we wouldn't have
had the spiritual awakening that we now have from coming in
contact with his work."
