This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at the David E. Kahn home, 20 Woods Lane, Scarsdale, N.Y., this 15th day of November, 1937, in accordance with request made by the self - Mrs. [540], member of the Ass'n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

TEXT

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here.
2. As we find, rather an acute condition with this body arises from an excess acidity, and combined with cold produces a neuralgia through portions of the cerebrospinal system; affecting more specifically the centers about the lower portion of the head, the chin, the side of the face.
3. First we would use a vegetable form of eliminant, such as may be had with the Syrup of Rhubarb and Soda - half a teaspoonful of the Syrup with a quarter teaspoonful of Baking Soda; these may be combined or taken separate - but at the same period. Take sufficient of this compound to produce well eliminations, taking the dosage indicated about every two hours.
4. If it is not desirous to take the Syrup in this form (as it may be out of the ordinary to get the Syrup of Rhubarb) then we would take the California Syrup of Figs in broken doses. The Syrup of Figs would be more easy to obtain. The Soda should not be taken with the Syrup of Figs, only with the Syrup of Rhubarb. Of course, Soda may be taken alone if so desired - but not at the same time with the Syrup of Figs, or at the same dose, that is.
5. Also, when the eliminant is begun, we would use rubs and heat following same; that is:
6. Along the spine, especially in those areas between the shoulders and where the acute pain has caused these disturbances, in the neck and side of face, massage the body with an equal combination of Mutton Suet, Turpentine and Camphor; and then apply the electric pad to same.
7. In the diet through these periods be mindful that there is not too much of white potatoes or white bread, but rather the citrus fruit juices - every form of fruit or nuts, or both; and all of these things, and we will find we will bring the better condition and normal forces for this body.

9. Also we find that a hot or very warm salt and soda solution for a gargle or for the nasal passages will also help this particular disturbance.
