This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 28th day of July, 1930, in accordance with request made by those in charge.

TEXT

1. EC: Yes, we have the body, [543] - this we have had before. In the general conditions as exist with this system, we will find that with the manipulations as are given, in the SUPPRESSION of some active forces, and with the active forces of others in the coordination between the sympathetic and cerebro-spinal, and also with the genitive forces of the system as coordinating with the imaginative forces, that - not only with the suppression through the activity of properties taken in system, but - were those of saltpeter added in quantity with those of the balsam of tolu, these would be helpful to the conditions, and would act as a repression. Also we would find that the use of the Mayblossom Bitters will be effective, will these be [if these will] taken in quantities sufficient to act as a cathartic. Ready for questions.
2. (Q) Give the dosage of Mayblossom Bitters. [See 543-2, Par. R1.]
   (A) Dessertspoonful three times each day, following the meals. Don't eat too much sweets, nor too much of those properties as grow under the ground.
3. (Q) How should saltpeter and balsam of tolu be given?
   (A) These may be given in pellets, or they may be made into the solution and given, in small quantities in the beginning, increasing as those activities in the CIRCULATION, as related to the capillary circulation, are affected, see?
4. (Q) How long before body will become normal again?
   (A) That will depend upon the RESPONSES as are made to those conditions in the system. See?
5. (Q) How long is it necessary for body to remain at hospital for treatment?
   (A) That will depend upon the body itself, and upon the RESPONSES as are made to the APPLICATIONS as are given.

1. GD's note: Maypop Bitters - See 3788-1 on 2/13/26 giving the manufacturer's name: Chattanooga Medical Co., Chattanooga, Tenn. [3788-2 on 3/09/26 said the manufacturer was John B. Daniels of Atlanta, Ga., and it could be bought in Atlanta drug stores, also at Five Points Drug Co., Birmingham, Ala.]
   Another patient at the Cayce Hospital had been given the same thing on 5/07/30 - See 1001-1. He also was an epileptic. Perhaps the trouble with him as a patient had caused the reluctance of the Cayce Hospital to accept Miss [543] as a patient.
