This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 10th day of November, 1930, in accordance with request made by those in charge.

TEXT

1. EC: We have the body here, [543] - this we have had before. In the general stress some conditions show some aggravation as respecting IMPULSES. This from lack of amount of sedative active forces in system, with changes as taking place. Be well were those properties of the Maypop or Passion Flower made in THIS proportion and manner given to the body, see? Then we will find we will be able to diminish the amount of those sedative forces that so choke portions of the blood supply in its capillary circulation, especially - and be more helpful in the general conditions of the body.
2. That the application of the ultra violet in and on body excites same in the present conditions, is not to be considered as detrimental, nor not acting in a manner as is desired - but keep same, with these changes.
3. The manipulations should be as of those that assist in the eliminations through the channels from which the disorders show their source. Also well that those centers in the upper cervical, or whole of cervical, be relaxed thoroughly - especially that plexus in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd cervical centers, also to those of the brain forces, temple, nose, eyes, and top of head, from which there is radial reaction with this plexus to brain reflexes.
4. In the compounding of the Maypop, [11/20/30 We asked Miss Bella B. Sidelman, Mr. David E. Kahn's secretary, to have the Maypop Bitters made up by her pharmacist, Mr. E. Freeman at Whelan Store, 268 West 23rd St., NYC.] make as this: [7/60 Dr. W. N. Pahnke's survey of 96 Cases of Epilepsy listed above Passion Flower Fusion formula as a basis for general use. See his complete survey under 2153-12, 7/60 Reports.] Take one gallon of the vine, leaf, fruit, flower, of Maypop. To this add 2 gallons of distilled water. Reduce by slow boiling to 1 quart. Strain, and then add 6 ounces of 85% alcohol, with 1 ounce tincture or elixir of the Wild Ginseng. The dose would be a doses each day, taken half an hour before the meals - half an hour before retiring, and retire EARLY enough for those of the proper reactions of body through the evening or night. Ready for questions.
5. (Q) How much should be taken at each dose?
   (A) Half teaspoonful each dose. This may be taken in water or plain.
6. (Q) What should be done to control an attack once it has started?
   (A) Apply ice at base of brain.
7. (Q) Would business and social intercourse be beneficial to body?
   (A) Not just yet. A little later, when there is more activity with those of the systems as relating to the proper eliminations, and coordinations are builded, these may be beneficial.
8. (Q) How can body realize and notice various improvements in self?
   (A) Ability to concentrate and to be interested in the various forms of spiritual conceptions, as has been outlined. Being able to visualize and to hold that as is of the divine, as held by self.
9. (Q) Would smoking be relieving and beneficial to body?
   (A) No.
10. (Q) Body is ready for an operation - to whom and where should she go for same?
    (A) WHEN it's ready, we will tell it where to go!
11. That is all the questions regarding this body.
12. For, with the conditions as existent, to operate in the PRESENT re-vibratory forces, too close to that inter-between which would leave [cause] for a bad after effect.
