TEXT

1. GC: You will have before you the body and the enquiring mind of [554], of ... So. ... St., Philadelphia, Pa., with the letter written to Edgar Cayce on Jan. 19, 1928, and the information contained in that letter. You will tell us (if it's in accordance with the forces) what they should do concerning this. What should their actions be? You will answer any other questions I may ask you regarding this.
2. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, and the attitude as is felt by this body and that of the child, who - having been warned concerning such conditions existent - has been troubled by that as has appeared to be one seeking to gain the confidence, or the acquaintance or association of the body. This we find does not partake of any condition of the fears that are felt. WELL, however, that the precautions as have been set about be kept. Not for the fear of these circumstances, but for the benefit of the satisfying of the FEARS builded within the mind of the child. Does the condition partake [If the condition partakes] of those elements that bring such fear that the parents would move or flee - this would build an improper attitude. Should the moving occur, do not allow the cause to appear in the mind of the child as of fear; for fear - fear - is the greatest drawback in the proper development of any well balanced normal individual. Ready for questions. [After pause] We are through.

BACKGROUND

1. He previously obtained Physical Readings for his little son, [4613], and two Business Readings for himself.
2. 1/19/28 [554]'s letter: "...Mrs. [629] and myself are terribly worried about an incident which occurred within the last week. My daughter [4611], who is 8 yrs. old, while playing with other children, saw a strange man approach her several times and in each case she ran away from him, and the other day she saw him near her school. Will you please give me a Reading at the quickest possible date? Your time will be favorable to us. Is there any plot against us? Shall we move from this neighborhood, or shall we move back to N.Y.? Is it a neighbor or just a crank, and if possible, who is he? We have notified the police but we want your advice at once..."

1. 1/24/28 EC's letter to [554]:
   "...I enclose the information which was gotten as suggested from your letter of recent date. I certainly am in hopes this is just as presented, and that there is no danger to the welfare of your little girl. I can't imagine anything worse, or anything that would destroy one's peace of mind any more, than to have such conditions hanging over one. I have never liked or desired to give information concerning any such conditions, after some very sad experiences I had with such many years ago - but I felt - having known you, having met you in person, having tried to be of service - that you really were entitled to whatever I might be able to get, if it was possible to get anything. So I am hoping - for your sake and Mrs. [629]'s sake - as well as the little girl's - that this will prove to be just as the information indicates, and that you will follow out the suggestions that are given, and will be able to do so in all good faith.
