This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 8th day of February, 1938, in accordance with request made by the self, through her sister, Miss [993], Active Member of the Ass'n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

1. EC: Yes.
2. Now as we find, there is rather the acute condition that disturbs the body in the present.
3. In the throat, or the larynx, there are those irritations which arose first from cold, congestion and super-acidity in the system.
4. Now these as combined with lesions produced in the upper dorsal and through the cervical area make this condition rather of an acute nature.
5. As we find, first there should be the quiet sufficient for the body to allow the recuperative forces to react upon the system. For the exercise and anxiety as produced cause irritation and greater distress through the reflexes to the nerves in the sympathetic system.
6. Hence we would have two, three to four adjustments osteopathically; the FIRST GENTLY given, and then in about two days we would have another given DEEPLY. But be sure to have the three or four treatments, especially in the upper dorsal and through the cervical areas - for, of course, at least one or two of these manipulations would be to make for activities through the alimentary canal; hence would be of a more general nature in the central and lower dorsal areas.
7. In the late afternoon, preferably about three, four to five o'clock in the evening, take a small quantity of Calcidin; that is, about a grain or half a grain tablet. Do not take same and go out in the cold, or even have the feet on the ground when this is IN the system! Take this for two or three evenings.
8. Also in the evening, after the evening meal is taken, massage over the throat and the larynx - or at the sink in the throat and the upper part of the chest - a counter-irritant such as Musterole. Not a cloth over same, you see; but this just massaged on those areas - not sufficient to redden or to cause too great an irritation.
9. And keep rather the liquid and semi-liquid diet until there is the full, complete adjustments so that the nerve forces react.
10. Keep the eliminations very well.
11. Do these, and in two, three to four days we should eliminate the condition.

13. (Q) One breast is smaller than the other; can something be done for that? [See subsequent Check Physical Readings. 8/05/38 Surgery was performed for breast cancer. Later the cancer spread to the other breast and she died from cancer on 1/09/39.]
    (A) Massage - not the breasts themselves, but upon the GLANDS that lead towards same - on either side, you see, and just between the two - with an equal combination of Olive Oil and Castor Oil. Do this each evening and we will make for the increase in such a way as to make rather the unison of the activity.
    Keep the attitudes, to be sure; knowing that the APPLICATIONS are to create for the coordination of disturbing forces with constructive activity in material planes. These have then the cooperation of the spiritual and mental activities of the body.
    Keep quiet; keep cheerful.
