TEXT

1. GC: You will have before you [560] and [993] who seek information, advice and guidance as to [560]'s physical condition and just how they may best meet same at this time. Considering [993]'s desire to help her sister, you will give that which may be helpful to each, answering the questions submitted, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes, we have the conditions which exist with the body here, [560] and the desire and the disturbance, and the attitudes of [993] in respect to same.
3. As we find, conditions with the physical forces of the body [560] are such that:
4. There needs to be those aids materially from the Ultra-Violet light; not the Carbon but the Mercury Quartz Light. This will enable the circulation to throw off much of that which is producing the disturbing factors in the shoulder, breast and chest.
5. That there is a deeper-seated condition, which is involving the pleura and the membranes about the throat, causes a great deal of distress; owing to the manner in which the pressures are upon the system.
6. There needs to be the greater elimination of poisons from accumulation and the activity of the system under stress. This produced by the exciting through the use of any influences externally might become very weakening. And if enemas or colonics are used, these would be the more beneficial - if the solutions as used for same are made to conform in temperature and in reaction to the lymph and the circulation through these portions of the system. Hence the soda and salt should be used in such enemas.
7. These as we find offer in the present the better for the body at the present.
8. As to the conditions and environs, - these cause a great deal of anxiety to each; and a special strain is upon the whole of the nervous system as well as the physical vitality of [993] [sister] in the present.
9. While these are necessary to be held much in the same manner, there should be the FREEING of self more in "Thy will be done." And in the physical activity there should be the mental and material associations to lighten the CONSTANT tension; for the vibrations are very heavy, if there is the continued activity under the present strain.
10. These activities then for the body of [560] should lessen the strain.
11. And if it is necessary for the rest, use a hypnotic for the body - under the direction of those who may apply the lights. For being more free from the physical pain, the mental attitudes may be kept in accord with the spiritual forces and influences; while under the great stress these become such as to cause the improper balance in the whole of the system.
12. These we would do.
13. Ready for questions.
14. (Q) In what manner and how often should the Ultra-Violet be given?
    (A) This should be applied, as we find, to the spinal area - from the first and 2nd cervical to the upper or central dorsal. This would be better applied, then, in the home, but by one that is well equipped to give such; for a minute or minute and a half every other day.
15. (Q) What foods are best for the body?
    (A) Those that are the more easily assimilated, yet that are strengthening in their nature; as citrus fruit juices, if they agree; as the whole wheat, - this well-cooked; as beef juices. Those of such natures are the more preferable.
16. (Q) What causes shortness of breath with the least exertion?
    (A) Pressure upon the pleura.
17. (Q) What can be done for the cough?
    (A) Removing those poisons from the system, increasing the circulation through the added vibrations from and produced by the use of the lights as indicated.
18. (Q) Should Milk of Bismuth and the Elixir of Lactated Pepsin still be used?
    (A) If it is necessary for the digestion, and to settle the stomach, yes. But if the food characters as indicated are used, it would not be so necessary. But the activity of each of these is for absorption, and thus the cleansing of the alimentary canal - and especially colon - is most desirable.
19. (Q) Should Codiron tablets be continued?
    (A) These are well as a tonic. While the lights are being used, we would not use them. When the body is sufficiently reactionary, they may be begun again.
20. (Q) What if anything should be rubbed into the shoulders and legs?
    (A) The most HELPFUL would be an equal combination of Olive Oil and Tincture of Myrrh. These however, with the use of the lights upon the shoulder and back, may make for a great deal of coloration; but will be helpful in that even because it would stimulate the superficial circulation. Heat the Oil to add the Myrrh; only making sufficient for the one period at a time. This may be done, though, once or twice a day even.
21. (Q) Is there an internal growth which is causing trouble?
    (A) As indicated.
This pressure is from the exterior forces going through tissue. The lights offer the best for this disturbance in the present.
22. (Q) Please give any advice to [993] that will strengthen her to carry on.
    (A) As has been indicated, the more and more "Thy will be done." More and more of that as relieves the tension by association.
23. (Q) What is the "way of escape" [I Cor. 10:13] in this situation?
    (A) That is HIS way - His way!
24. (Q) From the spiritual angle, why is this condition?
    (A) Meeting that of self.
25. (Q) Any other advice for either one, or both?
    (A) Let that mind be in each as was in Him, "Not my will but Thine, O Lord, be done in me - now."
26. We are through - for the present.

REPORTS

1. 12/22/38 Friend Mrs. [413]'s phone call: "I am at [993]'s now, have just finished giving [560] a treatment - she seems a little easier right now - I don't know. [993] is wonderful. They have rented a light machine for a month, and we want to be sure about several things. We thought maybe you could get a question or two on the end of another Reading. Dr. Hudgins [Frank Curtis Hudgins, Jr., D.O.] says the usual thing is to increase the light to half a minute more each day, but the Reading didn't say anything about that. [993] wants you to call her when you get it."
2. 12/23/38 See 560-10, in re spread of cancer to other breast following breast amputation on 8/03/38.
