EC: Yes, we have the entity and those relations with the universe and universal forces; that are latent and manifested in the personalities of the present entity.
In giving that which may be helpful in the experience of this entity, this soul in the present, much that is interpreted from the records that have been made by the entity in its sojourn through the varied experiences in the earth - also much that is a portion of such a record in the environs or spheres about the earth - necessarily would be approached from the spiritual and mental aspect; and the attributes of the activity of the entity or soul are approached from such an angle. But the application in the material, or in the mental-material world, is just as helpful if the stress is laid on the mental and spiritual aspects of whatever material endeavor is chosen by the entity.
And while the astrological sojourns are the attributes in the innate mental and soul developed abilities, it depends upon how the self in the material USES such knowledge as to whether it brings weal or woe in the present experience.
For, as to the influences from the sojourn of the entity astrologically, we find:
Jupiter makes for the vision that the body has respecting associations and relationships in the material world, whether from the moral, mental or spiritual aspects of such associations. For, as Jupiter is that influence in which there is the accentuation of such an activity, it brings with same also the responsibilities of such a sojourn. And during those periods when it is in those positions where the activities are adverse to the earth's sojourn of those who have dwelt therein, it becomes just as hard to meet such influences as to meet the purely material things in the experience of the body. Such individuals that have this as an aspect are often too easily discouraged as to the activities of the body-mind respecting the material things, and oftentimes also there becomes the tendency for such individuals - with the aspect or the position that has been had by this entity - to depend upon "pull" or influence from others and in other directions and abilities. But, if the entity will analyze self sufficiently it may know that such things, used in their proper relationships, depend upon whether or not the life and the experiences in self have justified that others put themselves in the position for such aid. Then it is no longer "pull" nor is it favor, but that the body in its material and mental association has merited which comes into the experience of self. For, as given, that which comes is as that which has been builded. And that standard an entity, a soul, an individual has used, is that standard with which it must be measured again. For, how hast thou read, "Inasmuch as ye do it unto the least of these, my brethren, ye do it unto me"? From whence cometh all increase, all power, all knowledge? From that source from which Life itself emanates, and the soul's abilities - the gift of the Father lest ANY man, ANY soul, boast. What brought the first contending influences in the spiritual world? BOASTFULNESS! Then, boast not thyself as to thine associations, thine abilities, thine connections, but in humbleness of spirit SERVE Him who IS the Giver. In this manner may the associations and activities as related to the abilities of self in the astrological experience bring the greater blessings to the experience of this entity, this soul.
For, in Mars - rather than bringing that which may be termed madness, or flying off at a temper - there is brought rather sullenness into the experience of this entity, and those tendencies to belittle self or condemn self through the activities of others. These are the extremes, to be sure, in the entity's inner self, but - as has been given in such relationships - rather use in self that attitude, "USE THOU ME IN WHATEVER WAY OR MANNER THAT WILL BE FOR THE GREATER BLESSINGS IN MINE EXPERIENCE, FOR MY GREATER SOUL DEVELOPMENT, FOR THAT THOU WOULD HAVE ME DO." If such things, experiences or tendencies that arise in self from time to time will be used in this way and manner, we may see in the material things a growth and an individuality that will shine through and in a personality that will make for the experiences where MANY may indeed be envious (spiritually, not materially) of that position held by this entity in this sojourn or experience.
As to the appearances in the earth, then, and those that influence the entity in the present, we find while not so great in numbers as some - these are in such measures as to indicate in what field of activity the entity may find - in the material and social activities of life - those endeavors that may bring not only the opportunities for the MATERIAL success but open the way for the mental and soul development as well.
Before this we find the entity was in the land of present nativity, during the periods when there were those activities in that place now known as Fort Dearborn or Chicago, or the Northwest, when there were these sent in the soldiery from Virginia into that field of activity.
The entity then was among those that held the fort at the period when there was the necessity for the abandoning of same; in the name S. N. Wentworth.
Then the entity was closely associated with one Bainbridge that acted as a guide in the retreat from that place; losing the life with many of those in the crossing of the mighty waters.
Hence those things pertaining to water, to the activities of communication, are of special interest in the experience of the entity. And if the application of self will be in this field in the present, as upon water, as across water, as upon land, and the associations of same be applied in that direction, it will bring into the experience - in the material things, in the mental application of self - that which will not only bring sufficient for the earthly needs or desires, but satisfaction and contentment and the opportunity for soul and spiritual development. To be sure, it may bring with same the OPPORTUNITIES to apply self in bringing destructive forces, if the activities are not put in the direction based upon "As ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them" in such relationships.
Before that we find the entity was in the Grecian or Trojan activities when there were the rebellions of those peoples, and the attempt for the gathering together of those to STORM the city.
The entity then was among those who prepared the ways and means for entering into the city.
Then, in the present there is the interest that may be aroused - from reading of the horse that was rolled in at the gate - in activities pertaining to not exactly undermining and taking advantage of others, but the matching wits one with another; which IS the activity innately and manifested in the entity's experience. Hence, the abilities to work out problems that require the activities in these directions are things that may be applied in the experience of the entity. And again we may find the same activities in the associations as to communications in various relationships with individuals, groups, and those that make for the better or the broader developments. The name then was Ulan.
In the present we may find the close associations and relationships and activities with those that were closely associated in that sojourn.
Before that we find the entity was in the land now known as the Persian or Arabian, during those periods when there was the warring of the nomads just before the return of Uhjltd the leader.
The entity then was among those that went, or desired to act in the capacity of the spy for those peoples that would raid upon the Persian or Lydian group; in those periods when there was much to be accomplished by raids one upon another.
In the present experience such would be called banditry, yet in those sojourns much that we would give in the present as taking advantage of the abilities in education in any line of endeavor was the same consideration of such activities, and they were not looked upon as being robbery or banditry in that experience.
Yet the entity, as we have indicated, from the innate activity, was one that could (and can in the present) act in the capacity of taking advantage of the situations by the abilities to communicate, associate, speak with and address self in such a manner as to undermine the better of those that sought to prevent such associations.
Then in the name Udlden, the entity lost and gained; for being in the periods when the dissensions arose soon after the return of spying out of the land, there was brought dissension and much of that sullenness which is manifested within self in the present - which brought about the separation of the entity from those peoples, and was lost in the attempt to create or bring about those activities with others in more distant lands.
In the present may be seen the advantages that may be taken of this, in that the self can be made to adapt self to the experiences and applications of individuals in various lands; as in language, custom, and the various conditions that make for the closer associations and relations, understanding different groups and individuals. This if applied in self may be made not only materially but inwardly and mentally satisfying, or bringing content that makes for harmonious activities, provided those warnings as indicated are followed. Laud not self because thou art above thine fellows in some applications of material things.
Before that we find the entity was in the Atlantean land, during those periods when there were the gatherings of those in the various lands for the knowledge of the destructive forces that were soon to come about in the experience of those people in the Atlantean land.
The entity then was among those who journeyed to what is now known as the central portion of America, or Yucatan; and in those activities there the entity rose to be one in power, from the abilities to apply and to use the physical things that had their import and activity from the inmost forces in nature itself.
In that experience the entity also lost and gained, for when the activities were turned into the abilities or privileges of self-indulgences the entity's activities brought destructive forces in the experience. The name then was Miu-Muel.
As to the abilities of the entity in the present, then, and that to which it may attain, and how:
In the application of self in the fields of activity - from the MATERIAL things - that associate themselves with a different sort of physical communication - as radio engineering, as the radio operator, as the activities in these fields that pertain to things of communication one with another - the entity may apply himself and bring to his experience those things that will be the most satisfying in the material way.
In the mental, balance self as to those things of which it has been warned, of lauding over another, and ABOVE all - overcome those tendencies for condemning self and for sullenness.
As the entity finds self in applying self in these directions, we will find mental and spiritual advancements, and developments that may bring to self the knowledge that the application of the tenets and truths given by Him will bring that He has promised; that He will walk and be with those that seek to know the Father's face. In Him is life and light and understanding, by the APPLICATION of self in self's own experience. A knowledge of same may make one wise, but the application gives understanding.

(Q) Where, and under present financial conditions, would be best place to prepare for my life work?
(A) As we find, the better way would be to apply self where thou art. Know the rudiments of those things that thou wouldst choose as the life's fields of activity, and - as we find - in those directions as given may the greater activities come about. Know first the rudiments; then take those things in those fields or associations of activities with same that may prepare self for the greater expanse in such fields of activity - through first the communicative way and manner, or by the correspondence course in same; then, to be sure, the winding up in the actual application of same in self.
(Q) For what did I come into this plane at this time?
(A) To overcome first that which has been intimated - self-indulgence. Next, to overcome that within self wherein there are those things of blaming others and blaming self with things that do not work, as it were, for self's own interests.
(Q) Whom should I contact in order to attain my best development?
(A) First know self, and yet the very questions within self shows much of that as has been indicated as innate within self. Contact first and foremost that necessary for self to UNDERSTAND - not only to have knowledge concerning, but to UNDERSTAND - why life is as it is in material planes. Then apply self in those directions wherein the greater joy and blessings in material things may come to others, and through COMING to others give the things in life and in earth that supply the needs of self. This will bring the self into the associations with those individuals, of itself, for and through whom the greater activities may be brought about.
(Q) Would it be profitable to me financially to work at the Lakewood Golf Course this summer?
(A) Be profitable, if there is added in self this attitude; that it is for the purpose of PREPARING self in whatever is chosen for the activity of self, yes.
(Q) Have I ever in previous experiences been associated with my family?
(A) As indicated in some of the experiences, yes - some of them. Others, only a knowledge of. Others, a seeking of.
(Q) What are my symbols?
(A) The B, doubled - facing each other.
(Q) What are my colors?
(A) Coral. As to the stone; not that ordinarily termed the birthstone as to month, but the beryl - if it is kept about the body would be well.
(Q) Would it be advisable to take apprentice examination for the Norfolk Navy Yard? In what line of work?
(A) As we have found, that which will deal with the communicative end of same - taking advantages of those things that might come through this same channel, be WELL! If it is for the regular or any other line, not so good.
(Q) Does this mean electrical?
(A) More the radio or communicative end. Yes, partly electrical - but particularly in the communications, which - of course - is in the radio, or the activity in that direction.
(Q) Do I have any part in the Ass'n for Research & Enlightenment?
(A) The associations have been sufficient! If it desires, it can be right much help!
(Q) Any advice to me at this time?
(A) First, as indicated, know self - from those virtues and faults that are pointed out in the activities through the experiences in the earth. Set also those things as related to what is the basis for the study of self, and how this may be applied in its associations and relationships with others. Know that all is well to him that SO LIVES that he may ever look self in the face, as well as self's best friend or enemy - and tell him where to get off!

Mother, Mrs. [379], brought him for the Life Rdg., saying he had been doing odd jobs all through high school and had worked at the Navy Yard since graduating, but he really could not decide on his life's work.

6/02/34 GD's note: When asked if he thought the reading fitted him, [568] said he didn't know - he had been interested (mildly) in the study of law and had thought perhaps the rdg. would suggest it.
4/01/38 He obtained a Physical Reading. At the time he was working in the Navy Yard and asked about golf as an exercise. See 568-2, Par. 35-A saying golf would be excellent.
